[This is getting so routine.

Cherryblod had thought about napping the rest of the day, like he'd said, but there are people to take care of, people who'd been closer to Aiden and Shirazu than he had been. So after about an hour in his room to decompress, he'd headed to the kitchen and started cooking. At some point Stan and Bruce had both joined him.

Almost everyone seems to want to take care of those who are remaining. Almost everyone.

The food this time is mostly soup and sandwiches - nothing fancy, nobody's in the mood to appreciate it - but it's there set up in the dining room by the time everyone (alive) receives notes under their doors. ...He slips an extra one for Sigrun under Mettaton's door, just in case.]

Not sure if I can manage it just by humming.

[That said, he hums a melody. It's really not meant to be done by one person, hummed or not, but what he can manage might be lovely on a stringed instrument.]

[Sigrun listens for a little while and she starts to hum herself, fingers picking at the different notes as she practices them bit by bit. While it isn't exact (there's still a few notes she's picking at each round to see if it fits right), while it'll take a bit longer to perfect and add her own personal flair, there's something like it being played now.

Thinking about it, she never really knew if Mettaton liked it when she played the song by his home. He'd liked the song she made for him well enough, so maybe that's fine.]

How's this? Not bad, right?

[He listens, continuing to hum so she has something to compare to. His eyes close, and for a moment-]

It's good. Feels just like being home again.

[If he closes his eyes, he can almost pretend.]

[She'll keep playing then.]

Your music's really pretty there. Kind of feels like the sort of thing you could do one of those fancy dances to.

We have plenty of different kinds. That's just an old favorite of mine.

I'll have to think of something for you then. When I wrote a song for bombshell, using a song from by his family's place, I made it all about him. Just the way I thought he'd like it -- and he did.

[... Very much, judging from how her face's has lit up. His immediate reaction wasn't one she had hoped for, but it'd clearly been a Very Good Thing.]

Torn between ukulele and noisepress.

[The ukulele, Mettaton had taught him enough that he can probably make his way from here. The piano has the advantage that he knows some songs actually meant to be played on it.

Though, the song he has in mind for Sigrun isn't one of those.]

[Heheh. Noisepress is still such a better name for it.]

Whichever you want, though I've always liked strings better myself. Obviously. The noisepress sounds like it might be listening to too though.

[... The uncomfortable thought of but what if you don't get the chance crosses her mind and shows briefly on her face, but she forces both away with a sigh instead.

(Just because she couldn't do what she wanted for Mettaton doesn't mean anyone else is going to have a regret like that. He was pretty much destined to die at some point.)]

I won't make too much fun of you for it, don't worry. I can't play anything on the noisepress anyway. I just know how to make it go loud and soft.
