WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
dojo;
Hello Miss. Are you attempting to get in some practice?
no subject
I'm attempting to learn something new. I...don't ever want to feel that powerless. I'm not going to allow it to happen again.
no subject
I understand.
...Would you like a little help with that?
no subject
[Lusamine definitely sounds interested, at the very least.]
I could use some pointers, if you are willing to provide.
no subject
[ It's not very elegant so he doesn't throw knives or small blades/swords (besides him being used to using only his own blade), but the knowledge is there. Kind of like how he magically knows how to read a book without ever having read one before. ]
First, when you're in position, make sure your stance is straight, and a little loose. I suppose this goals without saying, but make sure you're facing your target, and make sure you're not gripping your knife too loosely, or it can fall a shorter distance than the target.
Easy to follow so far, right?
no subject
[Lusamine does listen, at the very least, and tries to emulate it. ...She's not actually sure what the stance is, so she's. Kinda. Making it up as she goes--but at the very least, she's got a tighter trip on the knife itself, makes sure her pose is straight, and looks back to him.
...Admittedly, she kind of goes back and forth whether to simply grip the handle, or have her fingers touch the blade to steady it. That's. Something she's looking back to Mikazuki for.]
May I ask how exactly I should be holding these? I want to make sure it's perfect.
no subject
Ah yes, ...you will want to have your thumb on the spine of the knife -- and essentially sort of grip it like you're holding a hammer? You're already gripping the handle so I don't have to tell you to do that at least. Let me know if you need any further instruction on holding the knife... or any clarifications.
no subject
[...That's a little unusual, but Lusamine does follow the instructions. She doesn't quite throw the knife yet, though, staring.]
This won't cut open my fingers, will it?
no subject
[ ... ]
Are you prepared to throw the knife now? I will tell you one way to do it, if you are.
no subject
[Deep breath. Remember everything she's been told, and...throw!
...It sticks a little lower on the mat than she'd like, maybe she didn't throw it hard enough, but--]
Oh--it worked. It actually worked!
no subject
That it did. See? Just by holding it correctly it improves everything naturally.
Soon you'll be able to do that to anyone who looks at you wrongly... ha ha ha, just kidding.
[ Sort of. ]
no subject
[Maybe they'll find some realdolls somewhere in this hellhole and they can dress one up like Kira]
no subject
Well, maybe there's something that can be made from materials here to resemble his appearance as target practice?
no subject
...You know, that's an excellent point. It won't be perfect, but I'm certain that the materials would be able to create a good enough effigy. I'll have to see if I can make one.
no subject
Ah, if you do, I do think I won't mind helping you out. Something like that sounds like it'd be quite the good amount of stress relief~
no subject
no subject
Oh, and I'm sure others may love to see it as well, ha ha ha.
[ He can only imagine, honestly, after that week... ]
no subject
[why murder people when you can murder dolls!! of people!! who are murderers!!]
no subject
[ Surely Mikazuki is about to really tell her that's not really necessary and it won't help. That would be the logical, common sense of a response, right... ]
... That is quite an ingenious idea! I don't think anyone's thought of anything like that before, and I'm sure it'll help too.
