Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard (

WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

TUESDAY
INCENTIVE
Gather in the foyer in ten minutes.
[And it seems that this time that's back to being more or less a formality; the announcement will still be heard, wherever you happen to be at the time.]
I am sure by now all of you are aware you have lost some memories and regained others. Here is my offer to you this time: I can return you to the moment you believed immediately preceded your arrival to the university, with all your current knowledge and recollection intact.
If you recall things going unfavorably for you after that, you will be able to rewrite history and try again, all with knowledge of how your previous action influenced a possible future. Whatever mistakes or missteps you made can be overwritten, for a chance at a more positive result.
All one must do to claim this chance is to follow Rule Seven.
[And that, for the time being, is all.]

[he was going to say something abrasive about how the wordsmith is a jackoff, but uh...]
...so, wait. Do you replace the past you, or do you just... exist in the same space as them, so there's two of you at once? Or like... does running into yourself create a time paradox and erase you both from existence or some crap like that.
[He shakes his head.]
Man. Weird time Tauros crap. Not even once.
no subject
"I've held up my end of the bargain. How about you?"
"You don't have to worry; I'll guarantee safety for you. See, you're under the protection of- "
Well.
He pushes away from where he's been leaning against the wall; his expression is dark, but as usual he still seems at least vaguely entertained this time around.]
Interesting offer. Rewrite history, huh...
no subject
Even if it was for a good cause. It's still no good after all, isn't it? If it was going to be offered like this ... or "at all". Still, he'll linger, hand going to play idly with a strand of hair, seeming distracted, but carefully listening to hear what the others might say. ]

Hanyuu listens, and her eyes narrow and her lips thin and he's barely finished when she snorts, face dark. She mutters,] Mocking me now, is he?
[And louder:] He makes it sound so simple. Don't be fooled. It's never that easy.

Who do you think you are, Celebi?
[Either way, he's giving the room a quick glance before heading out. Rewriting history...]

Talk about a load of shit! That kinda stuff never turns out well.
[But he's not entirely unaffected either, scowling as he is, hands jammed in his pockets.
Fuck that, he's leaving. Like Hanyuu said: It's never that easy.]

[She's scoffing so hard at this.]

MEETING
[ Viktor adds a cute doodle of himself because why not, and slides notes under everyone's doors to make sure they all know about the meeting.
Unless you bring your own, the only food in the bar is the fried rice Viktor made. It's nothing particularly fancy but it tastes decent. And if you want something to drink but don't want any of the booze available in the bar, there's water and orange juice. ]

I think it might be a good idea to go over what rooms have been searched by someone already. That way we can avoid searching the same rooms twice.

He isn't too interested in the weight machines in the gym (he's fairly sure at least one of them might actually kill him somehow, and then we'd be in for the world's dumbest trial because the Wordsmith is just like that, probably) so for the time being he can be found in the dojo, trying his level best to take Sportacus' advice and actually do something that isn't "destroying stuff" or "wrecking his hands" in the interest of alleviating boredom and frustration. What he is doing looks like some sort of military drill sequence, because it's admittedly the first thing to come to mind, but at least it's halfway productive; he's still having to pause once in a while, though, to rebandage his right hand, but at least he's not quite as...outright bad at it as he could be. It's still awkward doing it with his nondominant hand, but he's...managing, anyway.
Later in the day, he can be found at the vending machine; he gets...well, a fair amount of crap he doesn't want, an acceptable amount of crap that he does, and after a while of just kind of looking at most of it, he disappears back into his room for a second to get a couple of things.
And that's why he can be found sitting on the floor in the hallway, outside the room containing the vending machine itself; he's got his maidenly carry-on bag next to him, it's propped open and full of the stuff he will shamelessly yard-sale to literally anyone, and there's a handmade sign written in sharpie and duct-taped to the wall above it reading "SOMEONE TAKE THIS SHIT, I DON'T WANT IT" with an arrow pointing downward to indicate the unwanted shit in question.
He's got the manicure set he'd procured for Kira with him, having stolen it from the guy's room at some point or another, because holy shit if he went to the effort of getting it then someone should at least use the stupid thing; he can generally be found filing his nails down with it, though sometimes when he gets bored with doing that he'll be sort of playing with the little knitted Chiyuki doll he got, just to give himself something to do with his hands.
And as always, if he's not in the aforementioned two locations, the chemistry lab is still a safe bet for finding him, though he's not playing with the chemicals today – looks like he's working on notes in there again.
Today is better than the last few days have been, at least. Surely there's something to be said for that.]

Here, eat this.
[ However, that's not all! After putting on the bracelets she has and then trying to get rid of her food which she'll throw at people's heads, you might find her in a few more places! Namely, you'll find Elda in the Infirmary, comparing the blood that's in here to the blood that's in the first aide room. She's taking a sip of both, pouring them out and slurping them. Ew. Next, you might find her in the hall outside of the sewing room. Here, she is sitting with several pieces of a paper and a ... feather quill pen? ... Also some more normal pencils, but she has put a sign up next to her which reads, ]
Art for clothing, please give a lady variety.
[ And then finally, if any of you guys happen to be both awake at around midnight and be the pool you might catch Elda Marker down here in the pool. It might not be obvious at first (or maybe it will?!) but she's... well. Skinny dipping? Someone might want to tell her to stop, but it seemed reasonable to assume no one would be up or want to swim then, sue her. She couldn't find a swimsuit which the full package of fit her, was comfortable on her, and was cute. ]

First thing's first, a stop by the vending machine. Not like last time was exactly favorable, but it's almost an idle, methodical action. She's got her Maidenly Carry-on Bag to hold everything, and...well there's stun grenades, awesome. And another doll of Chiyuki which is great but she keeps going and- ...gets a large tea bag that she's pretty sure she knows what can be used for and again, the incentive really pissed her off so Hanyuu is just quietly annoyed and aggravated and keeps putting in coins, until-
Until she gets an empty syringe, at which point, in an almost childish pout, she stomps her foot and kicks the machine.]
You stupid--! Ugh, aaagh, why do you give out such- stupid...!
[She's not having a good time of this so let's find something else to do.
She hasn't really looked around the newest floor, save for a brief talk with Judy yesterday, so she'll do that, earlier in the day. Where she settles on is the pool, though not to swim, traditionally. No, she removes her sandals and socks and just puts her feet in the water, much calmer than earlier but mostly just. Wistful, melancholic. Staring at the water and her reflection. She's again wearing her miko outfit, but without the sleeves, so it feels somehow like she's smaller than usual. Or maybe it just has to do with how she's holding herself.
Besides that, there's not much to do. She's pointedly avoiding the infirmary, and just quietly retreats to her usual spot of the games room, where she finds a deck of cards and starts up a game of solitaire.]
