Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-02-12 11:44 am

WEEK 4.

WEEK 4

Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira.

It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with.

Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices.

All right, so it works kind of like this. When I got attacked with that white smoke, my consciousness was catapulted from 2028 to 2074, when the Nonary Game happened.

[Phi draws a diagram that looks like this on the paper, the major difference being that "Nevada Test Site" is replaced with "Dcom".]

In short, from point A to B.

oyashiromama: we shared the same cold meal (a wolf‚ a wolf and i)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-19 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
[Studies and nods, slowly.]

I...think I understand. Alright. What's next?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ completed)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-19 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
The time period between B and C was around 36 hours in real time, but because Sigma and I were jumping between different possible realities, sometimes together and sometimes separate, it was a lot longer between them for us than that.

Then at C, Akane explains all this, then jumps at Sigma and I to get our psyches back to 2029, at point D. I get put into cold sleep so I'm still young on the moon, and Sigma spends half a century becoming a multidisciplinary scientist so that project can actually be run.

...So...you were in your same body, but the same age. And he just aged normally...but it was his young self in his older self's body.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ unlock)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-19 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Right.

Then when we reach B after all that real time we jump back to A and get into Dcom, where all the experiment participants except one got put into the Decision Game.
oyashiromama: (lies a swarm of silhouettes)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-19 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
The Decision Game? A-another one of those twisted experiments?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ helplessness)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-19 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
A twisted something, that's for sure. Whether it's an experiment or not I couldn't say.

Zero took eight of us from Dcom - myself, Sigma, Diana, Akane, Junpei, Carlos, Eric, and Mira - and some mystery person he just called Q, and locked us all in an underground bomb shelter.
oyashiromama: her blood‚ on my bones (slow‚ slow me down)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
[...]

What...did you have to do there?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ dilemma)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Some... different things.

We were divided into three teams, each in a different section of the shelter.

C-team was Carlos, Junpei, and Akane.
Q-team was Q, Eric, and Mira.
D-team was Diana, myself, and Sigma.

The first thing Zero told us was that the way out of the shelter was through the X-Door in each lounge.
oyashiromama: (so get up‚ shake the rust)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
[She nods and gestures for Phi to continue.]

But there was...a trick to opening it, was there not? [she's starting to get how this works]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ signal emergency)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Two tricks.

First, it would only open once ever.

Second, you needed six passwords to open it. For everyone one person that died, the rest would gain one.

[So yeah. Death.]
oyashiromama: (my hands and feet are weaker than before)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
...Only three of you could escape.

[nani the fuck zero escape]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ unlink person)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
If that. I imagine there might be less if the three left alive were on different teams and couldn't coordinate because Gab wasn't around.

[He's a good dog.]

Oh, I forgot to mention him - he's an old dog we have at Dcom. Since he's small, he could fit through the ductwork connecting the wards.
oyashiromama: red in tooth and red in claw (sheltered by the night)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
You used a dog to...communicate, during that first experiment?

[SHE FOLLOWS, SHE JUST HAS TO CLARIFY.]

Could he speak...?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ sort ominous_message)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
No...

[Phi's guess is that gods can understand dogs.]

He was with us during Dcom, but he got taken to the bomb shelter, too. He was an aid dog for the ninth person there, who was a helpless old man - his collar has a case for heart medication in it that the other teams have slipped notes into.

[The note got to D-team last, and with not enough time to get it back to C-team.]
oyashiromama: to forgive and forget (to be asked to take this plunge)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[No, she just has accepted that all things can be real and why the heck not a talking dog.]

O-oh. Oh, that makes much more sense. Why, then...couldn't you use him there?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ recur)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
We did, but there's only one of him. He's old, so it takes him a while to get places.
oyashiromama: (so uninviting)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-20 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
O-oh. He didn't...travel like you did, aah, I understand.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ recoil)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-20 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
The other rule of the Decision Game is that the players are only ever awake for 90 minutes at a time, thanks to another bit of special equipment we had.
oyashiromama: (my hands and feet are weaker than before)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-21 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
Wh-what...?! How... What did that accomplish?!
plentyfriendly: (phi$ unlink person)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-21 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It could be to throw off Sigma and I's power, but there's no way to tell.

[It's sure confusing her now, at any rate.]
oyashiromama: i see it all so clear (i can see it all so clear)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-22 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
...You're in...such a horrible situation... [...She places a hand on Phi's shoulder.] I pray...that you remember something more fortuitous.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ embraced)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-22 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
[She'll take it.]

...Thank you.
oyashiromama: (but i'm already there‚ i'm already there)

[personal profile] oyashiromama 2017-02-22 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for telling me all of this, as well. I hope... I pray talking about it lifted some of the burden from your shoulders.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ cd d-team)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-02-22 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Some, but not completely. I'm going to figure out why that happened. I can, and I will - but I don't necessarily have to do it alone.

[I mean, she already isn't, technically.]
