WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[ Just by hearing this, he's put into a mood. Rewriting history itself--

Even if it was for a good cause. It's still no good after all, isn't it? If it was going to be offered like this ... or "at all". Still, he'll linger, hand going to play idly with a strand of hair, seeming distracted, but carefully listening to hear what the others might say. ]

[ Killia doesn't normally stick around after the incentive, especially after the second week. But he notices Mikazuki's reaction (or lack thereof), and walks over by the other man to stand by him. He doesn't say anything, but offers him a hand if he wants to take it.]

[ Mikazuki will take Killia's hand and manage a smile of sorts. Even when he is like this, he supposes it can be quite easy for him to do so... or maybe it is because Killia also lent his support. ]

[ He nods, taking a look around the room. Perhaps he should go over to other people who are having a hard time but...this wasn't an incentive he could shake off easy. He knows exactly what having regrets feel like, and he doesn't feel like he would be much use with just words.]

Someone will take the bait. [ There is an unvoiced "You know this better than me.", but he won't say it given the company they're in. Instead he just squeezes the other man's hand lightly.]

[ Regrets-- what are those? Surely things that are naught but once mere phantasms, now twisted into haunting specters that threaten to swallow people whole if they are not careful- ]

Yes, they will.

[ There's still the smile but he can't help but feel uneasy. Killia does most to assuage it, but already he can see the toll the motive is taking on the others... ]
