WEEK 3 Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. [It's been a while since he's last spoken to Lynne.

Gabriel approaches, looking faintly concerned.]

Anything wrong?

[And she scrunches up the last piece of paper she was writing on in a huff.]

I'm fine.

[She is not fine.]

You don't have to tell me your dark secrets or anything like that.

[He doesn't buy it, sorry, Lynne.]

[grumble grumble.

Until suddenly she heaves a sigh. She doesn't like herself acting like a rude child so...]

I'm trying to work out a timeline. It's not making any sense so I'm annoyed.

What do you mean it's not making sense?

Too many holes in what you're remembering?

...That's right. What I remember and what he said just don't match up.

[Who the heck is he, Lynne?]

[Gabriel's being Mr. Nosy again, but he can't really help it.]

Sissel. The man from my dreams. But I want to trust him too.

[Wording makes it pretty clear she definitely didn't know him from before those weird memory like dreams.]

He told you somethin' that doesn't add up?

Maybe it's just a matter of not having enough to go by.

[Another sigh as she shakes her head, no.]

It was something else I was unclear on. Something I was unclear on since I got here.

It looks like memory problems are pretty common for me, huh?

[A small little smile. It's why she's so willing to believe these dreams are real in the first place.]

It sure seems that way.

The dreams I've had, I can't say they've been useful so far, but whatever they are, they're something. Probably best if we all keep 'em in mind.

With so little else going on it's hard to think about anything else. [That isn't, you know, murders.] This place is just crawling with mysteries.

Not the good kind, either.

We don't know nearly enough about this place right now.

Yeah. It seems like some people can get answers out of him through phone calls but I've never had any luck with that.

[Maybe if you didn't yell at the kingmaker, Lynne.]

I've never gotten answers from him, but maybe that's because I'm not askin' the right questions.

Sigrun seems to be the best at it. Maybe I should up my loudness?

Sounds like she's got something of a gift, don't it?

It might be worth a try.

[If nothing else, it'll annoy the shit out of the Kingmaker, and that's always good.]

She's definitely a woman of many talents. I should ask her for tips.

Maybe if we all call him and shout he'll have to answer.

[She's totally trying to co-opt Gabriel into this yelling at the kingmaker idea.]

I'm not a shoutin' man, but I bet I could piss him off just the same.

I also thought calling him at weird hours would work if you don't want to go for that. Something like three am or around there.

[Yes. Things she thinks about.]

Y'know, that's not a bad idea. It's a good way to keep him on his toes, innit?

He said he would reply at any time, right? I wanted to see if we could suss out when he goes to bed. He has to, right? Not anyone can be up forever.

I did wonder about that. Most people need several hours of sleep.
