Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

That dream was unpleasant, but even more unpleasant is waking up to find that there's another floor - they really are being rewarded for killing people. After he gets over his grumbling, Cherryblod spends the day exploring, as anyone should.
The laundry room is a pleasant sight - thank goodness for actual washing machines, right? He grabs a piece of paper from his Ubiquitous Notebook and writes down basic instructions for how to use the machines here, which he sets on top of the washer so that even people who predate these things know not to mix in their whites.
The music hall is nice, but he's not particularly musically gifted. He'll poke around a bit, being careful with the instruments. If someone's playing something, he's much more likely to stick around.
The game room, though. That he's happy to see.]
Can I challenge you to a game of chess?

...though what was unpleasant was... hm. If these were actual memories, how much really was missing? And more importantly... what exactly was he still missing? Bruce was heading the meetings, so there'd probably be one tomorrow. He could bring things up then, so for now, let's see. Was there a new floor, then? Well, let's just take a...
...oh, of course, they were rewarded for the death of the girl with musical powers with a music room. Of course that would be how it would go. He's not even surprised right now. So he'll... just be avoiding that for now, instead checking out the rest of the floor and noting another laundry room. ...hmmm. He has to wonder about this now.
Well, first, he'll be milling in the game room, where he'll be looking for something specifically... but it doesn't seem to be there, judging by his frustrated expression and exasperated mumbling.]
...they've got to have Pai Sho, right...? What even is any of this?
[Later on in the day, he'll be investigating in the downstairs, less fancy laundry room to see if there's anything unusual about it, because why... why have two. Why not just have the one with the washing machines from the start. What kind of game are you playing here, Kingmaker. Has there been a secret in the laundry room that they've missed this whole time.]

After first stopping by the profiles to add a little something special to Mettaton's likes with a marker (her own name), she's actually gonna go exploring herself this time since the second floor hadn't been of much interest to her at first...
... and this is how she ends up in the music room for most of the day, a little joyful to find a lyre in the more unusual instrument section and humming to herself as she picks out a few songs she remembers. There'll be time she's singing, not all too well but with obvious great importance to the glory-based words, but she's mostly content to just sit there and play whatever crosses her mind without lyrics.
It's like, oddly serene for her. Weird. At least she's not mixing chemicals in the new laundry room she's staying away from for the next ten years?
Evening finds her in the art room though, where she's pretty much hand painting streaks of sunset colors with one hand and the other is in charge of the sunrise. Her jacket's off and out of the way, because she doesn't want to get color on it, but the rest of her is pretty much stained.]

"...Quit sayin' things like you're human."
Shirazu wakes up feeling distraught and confused and with a crippling load of guilt over his chest. He keeps telling himself it was just a dream, but the unpleasant feelings refuse to leave him alone. Normally he'd get out of bed after the 7AM alarm, but today he remains in his room until several hours later; the door is locked and he's unlikely to open it to anyone. He just wants to stay in his bed and stare at the ceiling for a long time, okay.
When he finally leaves his room, he can be found exploring the new floor; he'll be in the game room poking around to see what kind of games are around and a little later he's in the laundry room. They finally got those washing machines, huh.
Later on in the day, he's in the sewing room aggressively making those bunnies again. It gives him something to do, something that helps him stop thinking about that dream he had. Something seems to be troubling him, though... ]

The laundry room actually does catch his attention, if only because that is a lot of tools and chemicals in there; he disappears downstairs, and when he does come back up it's only to tape up a sheet of paper with a header that's been made with entirely too much glitter and sparkles outside the door:
"SIGN-OUT SHEET, BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS CAREN WOULD HAVE INSISTED WE SHOULD PUT ONE UP!! ♥♥♥"
...Anyway. The creation of passive-aggressive but well-meaning signs aside, Mettaton can mostly be found on the third floor today; the game room normally isn't something he'd be too interested in, but Cherryblod is in there when he is and he'd promised him a game. After that, though...well, the music room is rather unsurprisingly where he'll be for most of the day.
He'll be up on the stage for a while - not doing anything for anyone in particular, just sort of pacing for a bit and getting a feel for the room; it's easy to call something up from the back of his mind, though, some sort of musical arrangement that only he can hear, and the result is...well, dancing, actually. His movements are surprisingly light (given that this is something entirely made of metal that we're talking about) but they're also weirdly aggressive - the sort of thing that's equal amounts flashy to watch and...probably easily used to kick the shit out of someone, with a bit of timing and creativity, and the whole thing is occasionally punctuated with the sort of posing usually reserved for someone having a stand battle, because damn if Alphys didn't make this body flexible as fuck.
...He's having a great time, is what we're saying here.
When things have wound down, though, and well after nighttime hits, he can be found back in there; there's a bit less energy to him this time around, but he's still seeming like he's looking for something to do. He hadn't lied when he said instruments weren't his strong suit, but anyone who's still up at unholy o'clock at night can find him at the piano, setting his hands down and repositioning them once in a while like he's trying to find something. His touch is light until he's worked out what he wants; what he ends up playing is simple, a lot of chords and repetition, but he doesn't seem to mind that it's not particularly flashy or anything. It's just...nice, for the time being?
...It's something to do with himself at night that isn't "aggressively paint his room", anyway.]

"Meaning?"
"Life, reproduction, death. In nature there is a purpose to it, even if that purpose isn't pretty. We humans have forgotten our purpose."
Well, that was certainly an illuminating dream. He's still not sure what to make of the dreams, but this one was more straightforward than a dream about assaulting someone he doesn't know.
But there are more important things to worry about right now.
The first of which is actually doing real laundry instead of hand-washing everything for the first time in weeks. After that, he spends most of the day alternating between the music room and the game room, eventually settling in on looking through a manual for a game called A House Haunting that seems to be based on some sort of faux-Lovecraft mythos.]

"...I trust you."
[When Stan wakes up, he could cry for joy.
Maybe he does, even, but by the time he leaves his room for the day all that's left is an obvious, profoundly good mood. He whistles to himself as he makes blueberry pancakes in the kitchen - enough for everybody this time without even prompting. Why the hell not?
Exploration comes later. He can't even really find it in himself to get mad over the washing machines, though a part of him still notes it. The music room doesn't seem to have a karaoke machine, so whatever. After all that talk about music magic, he guesses it's some kinda jab at Caren. He knows that. He didn't even dislike the girl all that much. But it's like the weight of the world is finally, finally off his shoulders. How can he get upset all over again now?
The game room seems like the perfect way to maintain his current high. He pokes around for a little bit, but quickly settles down with a pack of cards at the poker table.]
Hey! You know how to play poker?

exploring...?
He can be found all over once again, but especially in the music room, playing with the guitars.
But after exploring the new floor he can be seen... hauling a ladder from the storage room up to the third floor, eventually setting it up and poking around the ceiling- trying to find how the stairs would continue to a fourth floor.
...try not to spook him, or he'll go right down the stairs.]

it was all his fault, really. for thinking anything would be different. for thinking Mother would be different. he wakes up with a start, mind still reeling, trying to figure out how he'll hide this one-- until he remembers where he is, and that none of the murders so far have had anything to do with him. small favors.
he doesn't leave his room until early evening, when he decides to continue skipping all basic needs and check out whatever new area the last deaths opened up. he feels like he ought to be happy when he finds the music room-- finally, something he can enjoy-- but... well, maybe some music will clear his head. it never has before, never like this, but there's a first time for everything, right?
he hunches over the piano keys, trying to focus on playing a relatively simple tune-- but, his hands shake far too much to get anything more than a few lines at a time. eventually his frustration peaks, and he slams his elbows down on the keys, head in his hands.
how is he gonna get rid of her damned car?!]

Throughout the day she hardly starts a conversation with anyone and it will take some effort to get her to reply with anything more substantial than a wave. She can be found everywhere on all three floors. Saturday night she said she was going to double up her patrol schedule but maybe this is too much? It's definitely restless.
Later in the evening she can be found in the dining room seated with some loose leaf paper strewn about in front of her. It looks like she's trying to write out a timeline but keeps crumpling up the paper.]

MONDAY
MEETING...?, PART THREE
"...elevator in Switzerland."
"So you heard none of it."
"I'm sorry. ...I'm not that kind of doctor; I'm not a therapist, it's not my training. I don't have the..."
"What? The time?"
"...temperament.")
Bruce honestly still doesn't know what to make of that particular dream, as much as it fills him with immense relief. Was that all actually real, or was it...? Well, he could think about that in time. Now there were more important things at hand.
Just as with the last two weeks there's the usual notice taped in its usual spot by now from early in the morning, the familiar handwriting from Bruce calling anybody interested for their quickly-usual weekly meeting at 11AM in the dining hall. It's a bit hard to take in the fact how slowly used they are becoming to this, but having a routine is good. It helps to keep them grounded in some fashion, to keep them all hanging on in some way or another.
In an attempt to raise some morale too, Bruce has finally taken to try and make food for everyone who comes to the meeting as well - should they arrive for the meeting they will see a pot of chicken stew with empty bowls at the side, and a small paper sign that says FEEL FREE TO EAT. There's a ladle to scoop the stew into their own bowls and also cutlery to eat said stew.
Bruce gives everyone who comes some time to get their bowls of stew and settle down before he promptly begins the meeting.]
Alright, let's begin. Is there anything anybody wants to ask or to share among us?
[His notebook's already out to do the usual note-taking; they'll go through everything one by one, as much as they can manage.]

Cherryblod is visibly in poor spirits throughout all of Monday. He spends much of the time after the meeting in the kitchen, aggressively baking - today's menu seems to be mostly brownies. Have some if you like.
He also spends time in the art room, drawing sea life as well as pictures of humanoids. Mostly his daughter, in that case. His art is okay, but nothing to write home about - it gets the impression across.
Finally, he spends much of the evening in the music hall, messing with the piano. It's clear that he really doesn't know how to play it, judging by the way that he's plucking out random notes, but it's something to do with his hands, and something to do with his brain other than reflect.]

"Yeah. Kira was doing it to make the world a better place. You didn't even know that, shinigami?"
...
"The current Kira is a vile and pathetic human. Who knows what he'll do? Watch out for him and the other Yotsuba people. ...If worst comes to worst, I'll kill him, but I'd rather not die for this scumbag. I want to be around for some insurance. You'll know who Kira is, but you'll have to trust Light and do as he pleases."
Well, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. She already loves Light more than anything. That much was certainly obvious. ...But this Kira in the Yotsuba Group, that was just plain weird. Could it really be true? And why didn't she recognize Rem..? These dreams were making her head hurt the more she thinks about them...
"You haven't changed, Misa. Those feelings for Light will never change, will they...? I also now believe that your happiness is found by staying by Light's side and supporting him."
Ugh, where is Rem now..? The more she thinks about it, the more she wants to hug her tight, but...why couldn't she see her? And why didn't she have her eyes? She didn't have them in her dream, either...
"No matter how much you want to help, you must not reveal the existence of the notebook or me to anyone."
Well, for now, that shouldn't be too difficult. She's already been keeping mum and playing off her actual feelings about well, that whole thing to begin with, and she's found that was already paying off for her, as much as it pained her to say things like that sometimes. But this is a desperate circumstance, and she's positive that things are a bit better this way.
Even so, after everything that happened with Cherry yesterday...
Ugh. The terror is gone, and the rage she wanted to feel before is in full swing, overshadowing the questions she still has about her dream. As much as she loves having the stage in the music room now, because that'll definitely help with the talent show she wants to plan out, she can't bring herself to do much more than sit in front of the piano and just...kind of bang on the keys a bit. Not exactly elegant or graceful, really. But she's trying(?)
After that passes, she'll be in the game room; though she doesn't really want much to do with blackjack, she's playing single-card solitaire with herself; a pretty easy game, all things considered, but she's still having some trouble, it seems! ]
Let's see, uh, the four goes...
[ She can use some help with her spread, if someone would care to assist..! ]

TUESDAY
INCENTIVE.
I have another announcement for all of you. You have ten minutes to gather in the dining room.
[...And just like last week, that's mostly a formality, because he can still be heard throughout the Vault even if you didn't show up. So the announcement is impossible to miss, even if you're still in your room or just feeling rebellious and stayed where you were.
Either way, he seems pretty invested in what he has to say today.]
The Vault is full of opportunities. You're completely provided for, and no one has to go without if they ask for what they need. Unfortunately, all opportunities come with a price.
The price I'm asking for is blood. Specifically, from one of you.
You're probably going to say that I'm forcing you to kill someone. I'm not. If you don't pick someone to pay the price yourselves within the next four days, someone will be selected by me. That person will die, and you all can go back to living your lives.
It'll be completely randomized, so it's not as though I'll play favorites. Maybe it'll be you or someone you care about. Maybe it won't. If it's you, though, you probably won't like how you go out.
Or you guys can pick someone. It'd be a great chance to try to complete Rule Seven. Somebody's going to die anyway, right?
You have four days to make your choice. For now, you're free to return to your activities.
[As before, any attempts to question the Kingmaker will be met with silence; looks like he's done for today.]

He's spending a lot of time in the art studio this afternoon; it's somewhere to be, and it looks like he's actually utilizing the kiln to make something today – though god only knows what, because from the look of it he's heating up nondescript bricks of clay to end up with...ceramic nondescript bricks (which is, to be fair, probably the exact sort of creativity failure that one would expect from a fucking robot, if the robot were anyone else). He seems pretty satisfied with them, though, and he's making a good amount of them from the look of it. At least he doesn't have to worry about burning himself on anything in there.
He'll have some paint out while he waits for his, uh, bricks to finish, though, and he'll be just kind of messing around on one of the canvases for a while; it's very obviously an idle thing, though, because holy shit absolutely no one is legitimately interested in painting that many Bob Ross-style happy little trees. No one does that because they genuinely want to. No one. But apparently that is what he's doing with himself this afternoon, because it's easy and he's bored and he's got to do something with himself while the kiln does its thing, and for all intents and purposes it seems somebody may have utterly broken the robot in the creativity department.
From early evening onward, though, he'll be fairly easy to find; he's spending a fair amount of time in Room 13 again, and from the look of it he's actually using the bed like a sane person instead of lying on the floor. So that's. Improvement? Probably? It seems like he's made a few changes to the décor since last week – the...whatever he did to that fabric-painted blanket is still there and set up with those stupid tuning forks, but otherwise the million goddamn happy trees have joined the bizarre flowers where they're propped up against the wall, along with another canvas with his signature on it, drawn out and glittered-up using the same method as the flowers.
He's also got a hugeass poster taped up on the wall above his bed; looks like the vending machine was nice to him recently.
Either way, he's alternating between just sort of listlessly looking up at those stars he's got painted on the ceiling, and texting determinedly again; things are going either really well or really poorly for him today; it's a little difficult to tell, all things considered.]

That certainly was... something.
As everyone else has their own reactions to it Bruce himself is quiet... almost too quiet, really. He leaves silently from the dining hall, and for a while stays in his own room at room 9, doing some personal things and mulling over what the Kingmaker had said.
Later on in the day - and earlier than how it usually is - there's already the summary of yesterday's meeting duct taped at the bulletin board. Just as with the previous times it details everything they discussed; the incentives, their continued dreams, possibility of fakes and opinions for a set curfew.
Apparently when Bruce is lost in thought, he can get these things out quicker.
Later on he can be found in the library returning the many books he had borrowed, and in the first aid room doing another round of stock checking. He can also be found wandering between the second and third floors for most of the day as well... up until after nighttime, where Bruce is in the dining hall, nursing some tea he had managed to get from the kitchen before nighttime came in and looking lost in thought as his hands fiddle with the mobile he had gotten from Aqua last week.]

Once the discussion in the dining hall comes to an end, he exits in a bit of a hurry and heads to room 20, his room, for a while. He keeps the door closed, but he'll answer if anyone needs him for something.
In the late afternoon, he can be found out and about in the second laundry room, where he's writing down a detailed inventory of every chemical that can be found in the storage room and just...trying to get his mind off of what happened earlier in the day. He writes out a copy for personal reference, and tapes the original near Mettaton's super glittery sign-out sheet.
Colress spends the rest of his evening in the dining hall with a cup of coffee and two of the Showa Radios that Caren gave him the previous week. He's taken one of them apart entirely with a toolkit, and is inspecting the pieces with great curiosity as he goes about reassembling it with the complete one as reference. It's something cathartic for him to do, really.]

Aqua focuses not on the newest floor, but on the first floor. She's poking around (probably in vain, but who knows?) to see if there's any way down. She tries the storage room--making sure everything is in place and accounted for, too, while she's there--before moving onto the laundry room, the kitchen (where she makes a fresh pot of vanilla tea, too), the dining room, the library, and the incinerator. Honestly, her search takes her pretty much all day and night... but she's determined.
Later at night, the door to room 15 will be open a crack; she's plucking away at a violin she took from the music room. Aqua has a book propped up against her pillow, and right now, she's just going over how to read the music. ]

MAKE AND BRING SOMETHING IF YOU CAN
FEATURING A SUPER FUN MYSTERY EVENT!!
So there's that!!
Otherwise, Yato can be found in the morning before the Kingmaker's announcement in the sewing room making himself the a fairly basic yukata. He's gotta wear something other than ceremonial robes every once in a while, and he's not really feeling the jumpsuits.
After the incentive, he disappears for a while, presumably working on the posters — but in the evening, he reemerges to occupy the kitchen, where he seems to be creating some sort of... extremely artistic fruit platter with a pair of knives, one large and one small for detail work. He's wasting almost nothing of the fruit getting them into fancy flower designs, though, and whatever he does need to cut loose just ends up in these cute fruit skewers. It's probably kinda obvious what he intends to contribute to the potluck party, huh.
... Finally, in the evening, after a remarkably busy day for him, he can be found lying stomach-down to the ground in the library. What is he doing, you might wonder. The answer is simple: crying dramatically. ]
... Hiyori! Yukine!! It's been so long since I saw your beautiful faces... [ sniff... ] Yukine, you better not have been unfaithful to me and run off to some other god... [ sniffing escalates ] Hu.....gh.... okay, I feel better now.
[ Apparently, he just needed ten minutes to be a dramatic wreck. He's done now. ]

In the evening, however, is when Gabriel gets to work. His stop today is the game room, where he will be looking for something immediately out of place before he starts to dig around, looking for any sign at all that people before them used this room.]

Later on, he swings by the vending machine. He's been a lot more dedicated to that since he realized it could spit out his own personal belongings. No such luck today, but he can be found examining a large lantern curiously. He grew up by the coast; he thinks he recognizes the general look of it, even if he's not personally familiar with any particular lighthouses. Weird.
By afternoon, he's in the kitchen. Team dinner's apparently a thing tonight, and while he probably wouldn't have bothered contributing before, he's gotten to like a lotta folks here. It's not like he has anything better to do than cook for a potluck anyway.
Well, "cook" is a strong word. He's clearly just baking a bunch of cookies.]

[For the Face Steak and the amulet listed, he's also kind of... did his best to add a decent sketch of them for easier reference.
Bruce himself can be more or less found at his usual places - the library and the first aid room. He can also be located at room 9 from time to time when he goes back there to take a breather, or the dining hall at meal times to eat food like a normal person.
Some time after dinner however Bruce can actually be found instead at the sewing room, idly glancing through the fabrics that the room has and sort of... separating some of them for some strange reason.]
[OOC: Only the items that have a black list dot mark thing (minus all weapon type things) are the things that he's trading!]
