Week 3.

WEEK 3 Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

[It's concrete, like pretty much everything else, actually. Because apparently survivors of the apocalypse don't deserve nice things for some reason.

It's okay if he's aimless, though - there isn't much to see here.]

[...he doesn't know what he expected. You know what? He's just... he's just going to go to the library and see if there's anything new or out of place that he didn't notice before. Maybe the Kingmaker decided to slip a manual for the washing machines in there somewhere, he doesn't even know.

...he's pretty sure they're a reward because this fucking guy, but who knows.]

Is there anywhere in particular that you're going to be looking?]

[hmmm. Well, he may as well start combing the shelves along the walls first, just in case they've... missed some kind of obvious switch this whole time... he'll go in clockwise order.]

[Well, there aren't any obvious switches - this is both unfortunate because that would have been really nice, and sort of fortunate because it means everyone here didn't somehow fail a spot check.

There are several books missing, though, from some of the shelves.]

[...hmm. What genres of books are we talking? Like, are they missing from the romance section, the mystery novels section...?]

[trustharder]

[They look like the really thick, boring ones that Zagi and Kamui were playing with a couple of weeks ago.

...Looks like we don't restock in here.]

he'd be a lot angrier if anything of value was lost, but he just kind of shrugs there. Note to self, though, books are limited in supply.

Moving on, then... anything else interesting on the shelves?]

[There are a few books that seem...vaguely out of place where the alphabetization has been disturbed, author-wise.]

[...hmmm. Is there a pattern to it, or does it just seem like the natural result of people who aren't trained librarians putting books back on a shelf?]
