Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Once the discussion in the dining hall comes to an end, he exits in a bit of a hurry and heads to room 20, his room, for a while. He keeps the door closed, but he'll answer if anyone needs him for something.
In the late afternoon, he can be found out and about in the second laundry room, where he's writing down a detailed inventory of every chemical that can be found in the storage room and just...trying to get his mind off of what happened earlier in the day. He writes out a copy for personal reference, and tapes the original near Mettaton's super glittery sign-out sheet.
Colress spends the rest of his evening in the dining hall with a cup of coffee and two of the Showa Radios that Caren gave him the previous week. He's taken one of them apart entirely with a toolkit, and is inspecting the pieces with great curiosity as he goes about reassembling it with the complete one as reference. It's something cathartic for him to do, really.]
laundry room
Oh. Colress already had the same idea as she. Aqua looks it over, then nods. ]
... There are a lot of dangerous chemicals here, aren't there?
no subject
There are- many of which I am not at all familiar with. I thought it might be a good idea to keep track of the stock in the case that no one decides to use the sign-out sheet. If any end up missing, we will know.
no subject
I've done the same with the storage room. [ ... she tries not to think about the fact that it's that which ultimately did Caren in. Or, at least, had a heavy hand in it. ]
If you would like any assistance, I'd be glad to lend a hand. It's best to have to pairs of eyes on the items.
no subject
He does perk up a little bit at Aqua's suggestion though, and offers a small smile as he hands over his copy of the list for her to check out.]
I would appreciate that, Miss Aqua. Perhaps we can puzzle out the uses of some of these chemicals together while we're at it.
[He's not sure what type of world Aqua comes from...but who knows, maybe her world has some of these things.]
no subject
Please, just Aqua is fine.
[ Hmmm. ]
The bottles may have some information about for what they're used.
no subject
[He heads on over to the closet to pull out some of the bottles. There are warning labels everywhere.]
You know...the more I look at these, the more I wonder how they are supposed to help our laundry. Bleach, possibly. But some of these...
no subject
If it were any other situation, I'd be more confused. Considering who's brought us here, though...
no subject
[As he says that though...]
You know, when I began jotting these down, I considered asking you and the others what you would think of attempting to discard some of these entirely. I do wonder if the Kingmaker would simply replenish them the next day, however.

I'm glad you're keepin' an eye on things, it's a good idea to keep stock.

Ah, Mr. Knight. Hello.
Yes, I thought I might keep track of them. Like you, I find it a little baffling that we need so many chemicals for simple laundry. Some of these chemicals...while I am not sure what they are for, they don't exactly seem to relate to laundry at least.
no subject
[Most of these are poisonous by the looks of it.]
Maybe the Kingmaker decided to stick them here just "in case."
[You can practically hear the eyeroll in his tone.]

[He frowns at the bottles as he looks at them again.]
Though I must say I am surprised- he seems to be more of a fan of literal bloodshed from what he implied in his little announcement today.
[He can't believe he's talking about morbid stuff like this but...he's just still a bit shaken up and bitter.]
no subject
I don't trust it, can't really think he's going to stop this just because he claims he will if we kill one of our own.

[...]
I suppose it is no different than the last two times we had to deal with a death in our ranks. Condemn the culprit and...continue being trapped here.
no subject
Anyone who takes this initiative of his is only going to die. It's horrible.
no subject
[But they've got a pretty decent track record going with the trials, so he's not extremely concerned. Probably more concerned about people actually murdering others than anything else.]
I didn't actually think he would pull something like this so soon though. It seemed like something of a leap compared to the first "incentive" of his. If I am to be completely honest, this one makes me feel more uneasy as well...

You know, it's a shame there aren't any stations to tune those to, because I'm missing radio like you would not believe.
no subject
A radio fan, are you? What sort of stations did you tune into?

Ahh, I've heard of radios dramas! While Unova is television and movie-focused, I have heard that Johto has a very strong radio following.
I realize that it is likely a sore subject since you are missing them, but I am curious... What was your favorite drama that was airing before arriving here?
no subject
...now, I've heard of movies, but I haven't heard of television. I'm guessing it's sort of similar from the name, though...?
[...it's got "vision" in it, so it must have to do with seeing things!]
...and oh, it was this really melodramatic period serial about a love triangle that would always end on some dramatic cliffhanger over whether the kind-hearted Waterbender princess Anana will choose Anil, the freewheeling Airbender boy next door, or Shibata, the troubled Firebender bad boy with a tortured past.

[SAYS THE GUY WITH POKEMON. But look, it's just really sort of mind-boggling for a guy who is used to really high-tech stuff.]
Imagine movies, but instead of having to go out to a theater to see them, you can watch them on a screen in your own home. That is television. There are programs designed specifically for it as well, so it's more similar to your radio dramas, but with visual elements.
[As for the details on the radio drama...
...To put it lightly he just stares blankly as Tarrlok describes it.]
I am...sure it keeps you waiting with baited breath between each episode. Though I can't say I ever imagined something like that to be your favorite.
no subject
Who knows? Maybe that will even happen in my lifetime.
[THE GREEK CHORUS IS NOW SINGING THE ONE DIRECTION LAUGH TRACK]
I will wholeheartedly admit that I started listening to it completely ironically, but then before I knew it I was so deeply invested that I had to tune in every week just so I could know. Maybe I can get Councilwoman Hiyoko to fill me in on what I missed...
no subject
[Like...he doesn't care much for movies and all that, but moving picture technology is basically a huge scientific breakthrough. He can at least appreciate that.]
Isn't it funny how it works like that? You find something ridiculous, but it's designed in such a way that it still manages to pull you in. ...Honestly, it's slightly unnerving how well it is at manipulating our minds.
