Week 3.

WEEK 3

Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept...

Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
bloodisthicker: because that would be the worst (did i break a nail)

[...he definitely picks up on that, though he really wonders if he should inquire. On one hand, it might build up a little more trust... on the other, though, either he might not be too convincing about pretending to care (unlikely but potentially disastrous) or it'd strike a nerve and he'd actually end up caring (which would be annoying as fuck, it keeps happening at every trial and he's so mad).

...yeah, right, stick to the small talk, then.]

Well... it is a little similar to some of the games I've looked through, but not enough that I could just re-purpose another board for the sake of teaching people, unfortunately. I'd probably have to make all of the tiles myself.

[ She'd be thankful for it, in her own way; Aqua's more relieved that he's not asking, though, because it's still hard to think about.

Aqua puts a hand to her chin. ]

What sort of tiles are they?
bloodisthicker: NOT FORGED AT ALL (that autopsy report is old as shit hahah)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-15 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
They're little circular tiles that have different symbols painted on them. Some are pretty simple, but some are practically works of art.

Anyway, each tile has different rules associated with it... which can also be different depending on where you're playing, too, since every region has very slightly different rules. I'm most familiar with Northern Water Tribe rules, obviously, but I feel like I'd only want to play casually in Republic City.
prismbloom: (sleeping lion)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-15 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
I see--but they all have the same shape? I see no reason why we couldn't work together to make them.

[ Aqua's actually interested in this stuff, Tarrlok. ]

Then, say, you could tell from where someone comes by the way they play the game?
bloodisthicker: it never fails. (i saw it in my coffee.)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-15 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
You're right, but... I'm not entirely sure what to make them from. I guess the material isn't really that important, but I like wooden ones...

[...it's important to him.]

Possibly! Though, given that plenty of people have grown up in Republic City by now, it might just depend on what neighborhoods they started playing in. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if it's evolved in slightly different ways even there... maybe I should look into it if I ever have any downtime whatsoever.
prismbloom: (a very small wish)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-15 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder if the art studio would have anything along those lines--handsaws, or wood.

[ She'll make a mental note to check. ]

If you do proceed with making the game, you could create your own Vault-style method of playing. It would be something interesting to take away from this place.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-18 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
...given who we're dealing with here, I would be surprised if there weren't any saws, at the very least. Hopefully there's wood lying around that we can use as well... but I don't really know.

...you know, that might be fun, actually. I'll have to think about what I'd want to do with the rules...

[god no aqua, tarrlok should not have this much power]
prismbloom: (sacred moon)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-20 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
[ ... yeah he's got a point ]

I imagine wood could be used as a weapon, too. [ Way to make even the most mundane item secretly horrifying, Kingmaker. ] I'll take a look around.

[ She pauses to laugh here, a bit. ]

As long as you don't get too carried away--if you're not careful, someone might think you're a tyrant.
bloodisthicker: tenzin suffers (when dee bradley baker comes to dinner)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-20 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you could make it into one, at the very least. Failing any woodworking skills, I guess you could use a two by four, but...

[...wait, why is he thinking about this.]

Oh, don't worry about that. I'm sure it's fine as long as I don't just come up with new rules as everyone plays, after all.

[...now, including oh-so-exploitable loopholes... that's the ticket]
prismbloom: (keyblade of people's hearts)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-20 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
.... We should focus on the game pieces, instead.

[ jesus. ]

I'll be sure to keep an eye on you, all the same.
bloodisthicker: could have bloodbended you all but i didn't (god i'm such a great guy)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
...yes, let's. They'll probably look very nice when we're done with them.

[AND THERE WILL BE LESS WOOD AROUND TO KILL PEOPLE WITH.]

...ah, I'll have to nix the secret "the player in the lead can re-introduce any tile into play whenever they feel like it" rule, then.

[...he's actually joking, but only because that's a little too obviously terrible.]
prismbloom: (diamond dust)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-21 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'll look forward to it.

[ UNLESS THE KINGMAKER REPLENISHES IT ALL

how far will one man go ]

Maybe I should sit in on all of your matches to make sure you do.

[ she's probably joking, too ]
bloodisthicker: like liquid snake except sadder (did you like my sunglasses brother)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure I can handle the woodworking part, but you... might need to paint things on for me. I'm not exactly good at painting.

Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't have to be all of them. Just do random match audits to keep me on my toes.
prismbloom: (sleeping lion)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-21 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not too bad at painting, so you can rest assured I'll do my best.

That's true. I'll be sure to surprise you with them every so often; I'll have to be familiar with the rules, too, of course.
bloodisthicker: how distasteful (legions of fans you say)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-21 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I...

[..........."rest assured"]

...please tell me that wasn't intentional.

Well, I'll be sure to write you up a clear and transparent copy when I come up with them, then.
prismbloom: (up down adventure)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-03-22 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ .... ]

It definitely wasn't intentional.
bloodisthicker: but i'm still not reopening your arena (that's rough buddy)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-03-25 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh.

Well, good, then.

[...]

Why do we even have those? The titles, I mean.
prismbloom: (abyssal tide)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
... I'm not certain, exactly. Surely someone has asked him about them?
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-01 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure someone must have at some point, but I don't really think it's been brought up at the meetings. Which is unfortunate, because I'm just curious at this point.
prismbloom: (black garden)

[personal profile] prismbloom 2016-04-01 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
I'm curious as well. If we have to, I suppose we could ask ourselves--?
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2016-04-07 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
...we could, but I don't want to acknowledge his existence to his face any more than necessary.

...well, not to his face, but you know what I mean.
