Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

[Mouri grimaces]
No god is going to come to earth to smite anyone.

The problem is when they try to take revenge themselves. I have seen many times revenge never ends well.
[Murder is unforgivable no matter what. That's his stance and he won't ever change it]

I think revenge is a common reason people decide become ghoul investigators. Kids whose families were killed by ghouls are often taken in by the CCG - Commission of Counter Ghoul - and become ghoul investigators.

[Believe it or not, Mouri learned his lesson about taking stuff for face value with Sigrun, her whole 'likes killing' and her real situation. Better to listen to an explanation before passing judgment on this]
cw: tokyo ghoul, mentions of cannibalism

Mouri massages his temples, trying his best to stay calm]
I should have supposed that. I knew it wouldn't be good but I never thought it would be so...horrible.
When you put it like that revenge against ghouls doesn't sound so bad.
[They are dangerous predators, not people. From the sounds of it, there's even an organization created to deal with them. It can't be any good to have them around. As much as Mouri hates to admit it this seems to be the one time revenge sounds like a sensible decision]

[ There's a small pause before the last word, as though he isn't entirely sure what to call them. Last week he wouldn't have hesitated, but that was before he remembered plunging his weapon through a ghoul whose dying words sounded... human? ]
...It's a very dangerous job; that's why I didn't want to talk about it immediately after a murder investigation and trial.

[He definitely can't blame him for not wanting to talk about it]
How can you manage to have a job like that? Sometimes I think mine is hard enough but yours sounds even worse.
