Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

[She's a lot better than he'd be with any of this stuff, anyway. Music's not one of the skills he's picked up.]
What are we celebrating today? Surviving?
no subject
[A violin or guitar would be close too, but it doesn't look like the simple instrument they've created, so. This.]
And you bet! We'll sing songs for those who've died to remember them by -- I'm sure Caren would appreciate that a lot -- and keep marching forward until we're dead by natural causes or other means.
no subject
[Music is one of the few things Caren seems to have actually liked. ...Maybe that's a bit ungracious to think about the dead.]
My singing voice is average at best, but I'd be happy to join in if you don't mind that.
no subject
I don't mind at all! Music's all about bringing people together! Least, that's what we used it for, everyone knows the same songs. I'll teach you some and you can teach me whatever they sing under the sea.
no subject
[You pick up a lot of songs over five hundred years of life.
Imagine how many commercial jingles and pop songs from ten years ago you know for absolutely no good reason. Now imagine that times a lot.]
no subject
The oldworlders apparently had a lot music, but you'd never find it in Dalsnes -- not anymore, anyway. Some things have stuck though.
[... Like certain shitty pop songs. Swedes probably still have a wealth of ABBA to get them by.]
Buuut it's mostly just songs about our victories and stuff like that, the real good stuff. Excitement and valor! I could even compose one about the time I killed a troll with my bare hands if I wanted to! Which I have, by the way.
no subject
Now that sounds like song-worthy material. You have to teach me that one if you write it.

Sigrun the Brave sought the troll's grave, drew her knife and leapt at it! Knocked upon her back, she saw what she lacked, and decided Hell, a good fist'll do it!
[... strum.]
Or something like that. Makes for a pretty catchy phrase though, doesn't it?

[He's chuckling, but not in a mean way?]

Thank you, thank you, I know. I'm amazing. You said your singing's pretty average, but can you play any instruments? Actually, what kind of things do they play under the sea?
no subject
I don't play much of anything, myself. Keep meaning to pick something up.
no subject
I can see you at that thing over there. [The piano, she means.] It's super fancy like you, but when I tried playing it myself it came out a total mess!
[... Just like Cherryblod!]
no subject
I don't know how to play it, but I've considered learning a few times. Just never really made the commitment.
no subject
Now's a good time as ever! Sit yourself down and smash out a few notes. I'll bet your wife'll appreciate a new skill.
no subject
[He'll take a seat at the piano and just start playing random notes, since he doesn't have any music to follow or anything.]
no subject
There you go, that sounds nice! [Maybe. She wouldn't know, actually, pianos are out of her personal reach. She'll pick out a tune on her lyre though.] Just, uh. Let your hand feel out the music. That's pretty much how we do it. I'll play along.
[... And make it sound decent.]

How're you feeling about it? Good? Bad?

no subject
[The piano.]
no subject
[He doesn't think so. Sigrun definitely just made that up.]
no subject
[there's the logic]
no subject
[Well, he could, but it'd be pointless.]
no subject
As you shouldn't. I think rich people used to have them a lot, but I haven't investigated a nice place like that in a long time. We don't usually go that far out. Do you know what it is?
no subject
[He's chuckling now.]
