Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

That certainly was... something.
As everyone else has their own reactions to it Bruce himself is quiet... almost too quiet, really. He leaves silently from the dining hall, and for a while stays in his own room at room 9, doing some personal things and mulling over what the Kingmaker had said.
Later on in the day - and earlier than how it usually is - there's already the summary of yesterday's meeting duct taped at the bulletin board. Just as with the previous times it details everything they discussed; the incentives, their continued dreams, possibility of fakes and opinions for a set curfew.
Apparently when Bruce is lost in thought, he can get these things out quicker.
Later on he can be found in the library returning the many books he had borrowed, and in the first aid room doing another round of stock checking. He can also be found wandering between the second and third floors for most of the day as well... up until after nighttime, where Bruce is in the dining hall, nursing some tea he had managed to get from the kitchen before nighttime came in and looking lost in thought as his hands fiddle with the mobile he had gotten from Aqua last week.]
Library
[He sure is returning a bunch of books at once. Presumably he'll be checking out equally as many...?
(Ha. Ha ha.)]

[He says with a rueful smile as he continues to put back the books.]
As unhelpful as they continue to be, some of them do make for interesting reads.
no subject
What will you be checking out next?
no subject
[Maybe just one or two... who knows.
He's still deciding.]

Dining Hall
[Says the man who's just wandering around at night without even any tea.]
no subject
Nothing much. Just needed to clear my head a little. [And King is sleeping in his room, so...] What about you?
no subject
[He considers Bruce for a moment.]
You walked outta there pretty quick this afternoon.
no subject
How to explain that.]
...I wasn't expecting the Kingmaker to throw something like this at us, to be entirely honest.
no subject
I wouldn't call the guy subtle, but I didn't think he'd just come right out with it like that.
no subject
[Bruce had been thinking something along the lines of last week--holding something over their heads, again, but this is. Well. He really wasn't prepared for this.]
no subject
Well, you'd better not die. We'd be hosed without any doctors around. [He doesn't have any specific reasons for saying so, Mr. Dislikes Self.]
no subject
[Ha. Haha. Ha.
Bruce never really likes lying so blatantly, but its not like its any worse than how he already is.]

Can't sleep?
no subject
[Not that its a new thing for him - even before any of this sleepless nights were already a frequent enough occurrence.]
What about you?
no subject
[ No, that isn't it at all. These incentives are starting to get to her. ]
no subject
He gestures to a space besides him.] Feel free to stay here for as long as you want.
no subject
...Do you think the Kingmaker is really gonna go through with it?
no subject
There's no reason why he wouldn't.
[It's clear enough that their lives don't matter to him. Why would he try to lie this time?]
no subject
That's what I think too. If he didn't make good on this promise, then he wouldn't hold as much power of us anymore.
no subject
[And just the thought of that is... well. Try as he might Bruce can't not dwell on it.]
