WEEK 3 Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. I don't think I could choose. At best I might go along with a majority vote and hate myself for it.

[His jaw clenches for a moment, and Bruce glances away. Sugarcoat it however you want, its still terrible.]

One way or another he's forcing even more blood on our hands. If we choose, we bear the guilt. If we don't choose, we still bear the guilt anyway.

We can't just go along with this. Neither option is something I can accept - there has to be another way.

We'll find one.

[Or else... well, Bruce will ensure there is one. Somehow.]

No, that defeats the whole purpose of what we're trying to accomplish.

Honestly. Sometimes I don't know what she's thinking. She means well, but...

[Not so strange for Bruce - she's a military woman after all, and she's just being practical. Bruce can't fault her for that.]

She's doing her best to help, in her own way.

I'm glad that someone's trying to take charge. I'm not the leader type at all.

[She's pretty alright, all things considered.]

[They can all manage themselves... usually.]

You have a lot of faith in us.

It wouldn't make sense if I didn't.

Why not? Most people here don't seem to.

If somebody doesn't take the first step to start believing, then how are we to be able to last against what the Kingmaker throws at us?

You raise a very good point. I'd agree with you.

I'm well aware it can be naive, but we can't afford to keep pointing fingers at one another either. It'll just give the Kingmaker more means to exploit us.

[cherryblooded]

It's a natural tendency, to be suspicious and doubt one another in times like this. Don't like it, but I can't blame anyone, either.

Likewise, but it has to end some time.

[They won't get anywhere constantly being suspicious of one another.]
