WEEK 3 Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

Can't sleep either. I guess I'm just feeling too restless, heh.

[ No, that isn't it at all. These incentives are starting to get to her. ]

It's been a hard day for all of us. [Harder than most, perhaps.

He gestures to a space besides him.] Feel free to stay here for as long as you want.

[clubleader]

[ She takes a seat next to him, quiet for a few moments. ]

...Do you think the Kingmaker is really gonna go through with it?

[amygdalae]

[Well...]

There's no reason why he wouldn't.

[It's clear enough that their lives don't matter to him. Why would he try to lie this time?]

[clubleader]

[ She sighs, resting her chin on her hand. ]

That's what I think too. If he didn't make good on this promise, then he wouldn't hold as much power of us anymore.

[amygdalae]

I doubt he would have said that if he didn't mean it in the first place.

[And just the thought of that is... well. Try as he might Bruce can't not dwell on it.]

[clubleader]

Yeah... I'm afraid of that, honestly. Guys like him don't usually back out on these kinda things.

[amygdalae]

He's made it clear enough that he doesn't care for us. [They're just... rats in his cage.] One way or another, he just wants more victims for this 'game' of his.

[clubleader]

We need to find a way to stop him... but I'm not sure just how we'd be able to.

[amygdalae]

There'll be a way.

[And if not, well... Bruce isn't going to just lie down and let somebody die just because.]

[clubleader]

...I really hope so.

[amygdalae]

[Bruce takes a moment here and gives Mion a smile.]

Don't worry about it, alright? I'm sure we'll figure out something to go around this.
