WEEK 3 Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

[He winces. True, who know what The Kingmaker might have promised another Pearl. He barely knew her at all.

He pulls back from the table, crossing his arms and tucking his feet up onto the chair- looking like a hedgehog curling into a ball of defensive sulking]

I don't know. But sue me for looking for an explanation outside what that bastard is feeding us. I'm... not just going to accept this.

[penduli]

[ He just keeps hitting all the right notes with Yosuke, doesn't he. ]

You don't have to if you don't want to. I'm only sharing information I've found out, just like the rest of you do during meetings.

[He growls into his knees]

Sorry, you're right. It's just... frustrating.

[penduli]

It's not like I'm making it any easier to swallow, either. [ He fidgets and--for the first time in a while, he actually looks at Yosuke. ] I'm sorry about our conversation last week. And about avoiding you.

[ THIS... probably isn't the time for this, but he actually did like talking to him, and it's better to be on good terms with as many people as you can manage in a not-so-cramped-anymore vault.

...and Yosuke's cute and genuine and accidentally hits on him, dammit, give him a break. ]

[Yosuke resists looking up from his knees for a few moments, out of stubbornness. But it's not worth it to hold onto this meanness for it's own sake. He knows better now.

So he looks up, reading earnestness in Black's expression]

...I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you being honest with me. It wasn't fair.

[He knows a little better now, after talking to Caren that last time. It's not his place to judge. So instead he offers a small but honest smile]

It wasn't fair of me to be that honest after what we'd just seen. [ experienced. had to do.

he smiles back, equally small and equally honest. ] Thank you for forgiving me.

[He sighs, doing his best to let it go. It's not worth the angst anymore]
