Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

"Meaning?"
"Life, reproduction, death. In nature there is a purpose to it, even if that purpose isn't pretty. We humans have forgotten our purpose."
Well, that was certainly an illuminating dream. He's still not sure what to make of the dreams, but this one was more straightforward than a dream about assaulting someone he doesn't know.
But there are more important things to worry about right now.
The first of which is actually doing real laundry instead of hand-washing everything for the first time in weeks. After that, he spends most of the day alternating between the music room and the game room, eventually settling in on looking through a manual for a game called A House Haunting that seems to be based on some sort of faux-Lovecraft mythos.]
laundry!
Hello. Here to wash your clothes, I presume?

[He just has a small bundle-- but thank god he doesn't have to hand wash everything anymore.]
I can't stand havin' to hand-dry everything, I'm glad we've got a dryer now. Makes things speedier.

[He says it with slight amusement, although its quick to fade.]
I do wonder why its all only up here, though.
[Or for that matter, why even have two of these rooms?]

[It's a little confusing, isn't it?]
Colress suggested this might have been a base of some sort. Could've been military, maybe some sort of scientific research. I was thinkin' it was some kind of fallout shelter, but those normally aren't so enormous, I don't think.

Fallout shelter for a large group of people could be plausible.
[Then again, who knows... anything is still up in the air at this point.]
Still, entertainment rooms aside, most of the places do have practical uses so far.

Whatever's going on, I want to get to the bottom of it-- quickly, if at all possible. I don't like the idea of being dropped off in a place with no memory of how I got here to begin with.

There's a lot of questions we needs answers for. With luck, we'll eventually find all of them.

This place can only be so big. It'd be too expensive to make this into an entire damn city or somethin'. I'm just not sure where to start.

Doubt there's anything in here, but the rooms with a lot of storage are probably a good start.
no subject
[It's not much, but maybe... they'll only know if they try.]
no subject
I'm still wonderin' how it was retrofitted for us.
no subject
[After all there's really no reason why there should be two laundry rooms...]
no subject
Unless there was another group in here with specifically that many people it seems suspicious. Like someone was expecting us.
no subject
[For some unknown reason...
Not knowing anything is so frustrating.]
no subject
It's such a specific number.
no subject
[Still at this point everything is still up in the air, which continues to be frustrating as heck.]
no subject
I'll look around, see if I can find anything useful, and let you know.
no subject
[Its the best thing they can do right now.]

[And one that will actually help them in some fashion, too.]
