Week 3.

WEEK 3

Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept...

Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

music room

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-14 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[You know how fun it is to watch someone do a dance with no music? Very. You know what's even more fun?

Making some music for them.

Since Sigrun's hanging in the music room too, she's going to be doing the latter after gathering a rhythm from his movements the best she can. A lyre's not the best instrument to do airy stuff on for her, but she'll work it!!! Especially with that aggression!! Even if it's a totally different melody from whatever Mettaton's going at.

Listen. She's already gonna be doing something for him tonight, might as well make fun of his moves now.]
ratingspoint: (ASIDE ♥ okay but enough about you)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-14 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Sigrun, oh my god.

You know what, though, this is the sort of thing he can get behind? I mean, if you think he can't improvise in the general direction of whatever it is she's doing over there, then you've got another thing coming to you.

It's been a while since he's done things with someone else, even just informally like this; music with Aqua once in a while is...different, there's no form or instruction to this, so this is honestly nice even if Sigrun is...effectively rocking out with a fucking lyre.

...These are our lives right now, this is what we have decided to be.]
captainobnoxious: (01 isn't that right)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-15 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
[And it's a good thing, they're not total wrecks yet.

... Yet, because hell if Sigrun won't change the pace to see if she can trip him up. One minute it'll be the rocking out she loves so much and then it's something a little more mellow, with longer notes due to the lack of fingers silencing them and a somber feeling. Things like that.

Listen, her arm's gonna tire out before he does, but fuck it you know? Be the ballerina you always wanted to be.]

[God bless you, you magnificent idiot, please continue to be everything that you are.

That said, the sudden changing tempos are going to have the occasional effect of making him catlike grace it once in a while - he won't completely bite it, but once in a while there are instances of THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY ENTIRELY INTENTIONAL, I UTTERLY MEANT TO DO THAT until he can recover himself. So there's that vindicating her once in a while, for what it's worth.

He'll address her eventually, though (and how the fuck do robots even do that with their legs, christ-).]

Having fun, sweetheart?
captainobnoxious: (56 go for it)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-15 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[That thing about robots and their legs? Seriously, this guy is nimble as any scout she's worked with, how the hell. She's impressed.]

Tons, honey. How about you? Nicer having a little music to go with your moves, isn't it?

[as much of a fucking mess as it is]
ratingspoint: (Default)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-15 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Much nicer, actually!

[...At least he genuinely doesn't seem to mind.]
captainobnoxious: (42 hooo boy)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-16 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
And you're dancing to the best music outside of Dalsnes too! You should consider yourself a pretty lucky person, especially since I'm the one who's playing for you. I'm impressed you can keep up as well as you do though.

[Even if she's enjoyed getting the better of him from time to time his confidence be damned.]
ratingspoint: (SMUG ♥ i wanna be your left-hand man)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-16 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you're talking to the Underground's best!

[That said, though, he'll break for a second, if only because conversation is likewise good right now.]

You ought to play more often - I'd like to hear it.
captainobnoxious: (12 matter o' fact kids)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-16 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[At least she can still play while they talk, though it's something gentle in comparison to what she'd been doing. Mostly 'cause she's just idly picking at it now.]

Then you're in luck, because there's no limit to the things I can play on this lyre of mine. It's the closest thing I've got to home right now.

[If there was, say, a place to practicing her knife skills or shots, she'd be even happier, but this is fine enough. It gets rid of her slight homesickness enough.]
ratingspoint: (ARROGANCE ♥ that's what she said)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-16 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
This room is good for that, isn't it.

[It's not really a question.]

Music is good for people like that - it's one of the better reminders that we can have, assuming we can play it well enough.
captainobnoxious: (23 you're joking right)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, I don't think you've got to be good at all when it comes to music! I mean, it sure helps, since no one's going to want to listen to you otherwise, but even someone who's got no skill in it can learn to play at least one thing that reminds them of home.

[Like Mouri. She's teaching Mouri. All that air's going to something good with the flute.

... But that idle plucking's starting to sound like something Mettaton's played before on is ukulele, albeit with a few wrong notes as she works out the sounds.]

Maybe we can celebrate that part at least, since that's what music's good for.
ratingspoint: (REALLY ♥ heel turn one more time i s2g)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-17 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's...]

...I've been thinking about it a lot lately. Home, I mean.

[He shrugs a bit; he doesn't sound upset about it or anything, but then, he never really does.]
captainobnoxious: (45 not so sure bout that)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[She'll learn the nuances of his word choices one day.]

I think everyone is. Even I'm starting to feel a little homesick, though...

[... though by now, everyone would've gone back to how things were. Remembering how great she was and mourning that they couldn't find her body -- provided that their worlds aren't destroyed, anyway.

Sigrun shakes her head, stopping the sound of the lyre with a hand.]

What about it?
