Week 3.
Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept... Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

After first stopping by the profiles to add a little something special to Mettaton's likes with a marker (her own name), she's actually gonna go exploring herself this time since the second floor hadn't been of much interest to her at first...
... and this is how she ends up in the music room for most of the day, a little joyful to find a lyre in the more unusual instrument section and humming to herself as she picks out a few songs she remembers. There'll be time she's singing, not all too well but with obvious great importance to the glory-based words, but she's mostly content to just sit there and play whatever crosses her mind without lyrics.
It's like, oddly serene for her. Weird. At least she's not mixing chemicals in the new laundry room she's staying away from for the next ten years?
Evening finds her in the art room though, where she's pretty much hand painting streaks of sunset colors with one hand and the other is in charge of the sunrise. Her jacket's off and out of the way, because she doesn't want to get color on it, but the rest of her is pretty much stained.]
Music Room
Didn't know you had musical talent.

My people love three things: Troll hunting, good stories, ale, and music.
[...]
Four things. Anyway, it's just something to pass the time here, but back home we'd play songs like this to celebrate pretty much anything you can think of! It's kind of a family tradition and... well, this isn't exactly the kind of thing I'm used to, but the rest of this stuff isn't much like it either, so, you know. I'll make it work.
no subject
[She's a lot better than he'd be with any of this stuff, anyway. Music's not one of the skills he's picked up.]
What are we celebrating today? Surviving?
no subject
[A violin or guitar would be close too, but it doesn't look like the simple instrument they've created, so. This.]
And you bet! We'll sing songs for those who've died to remember them by -- I'm sure Caren would appreciate that a lot -- and keep marching forward until we're dead by natural causes or other means.

I never imagined you knew to play an instrument.
[Much less a lyre]
no subject
[Let at least one person she knows be musically inclined that isn't the robot.]
no subject
Never had the patience to learn to play one. [Or to know how to sew, or cook, or play games, or...a myriad other things. Mouri is not a patient man]
no subject
[Mouri is not a patient man, and this is coming from the woman who prefers action to waiting.]
But it doesn't take too long to learn one if you've got a good teacher like me. And it'll keep your hands busy. Might help with relaxing if you get too wound up, but for my people it was always to connect with each other, to share our stories and best your brother in the gorefest.

Ah, hello, Miss Sigrun.
[He can't help but take a peek at her work as he makes his way through the room. He ends up stopping near her, though.]
Working with both hands, eh? Impressive! [...] You know, it's now hitting me that we haven't seen the sun in two weeks. At least we have your artistic skill to compensate.
no subject
It's for someone in particular, but if everyone's astounded by my abilities I'll hang some up around this place to remind everyone of what peace looks like. I mean, what's better than the sunset? You get to sleep afterwards!
no subject
[It is interesting to hear her refer to such basic ways of the world as 'peace' though. He can't say he disagrees now that he thinks about it. Some things are taken way too much for granted.]
You know...I could see such drawings looking nice near the clock. Being able to see the sunset instead of simply numbers on a board telling us night draws near could do wonders. Don't you think?
no subject
You're the scientist here, bub, you if you think it'll look nice then I'll trust you and hang some up sometime.
[NOT THAT... BEING A SCIENTIST HAS ANYTHING TO DO ABOUT IT, BUT HE'S SMART, SO.]
Maybe you can do some too. What's the sunrise-sunset like in your world? Since you don't have to really worry about the kinda stuff I've dealt with first thing in the morn.

Profiles
...you know, those dislikes listed by our host are just making me really curious about how you managed to get him to put this up.
no subject
[Seriously. She's personally pleased she's mentioned in his profile, even if it's in a dislike.]
He didn't see why we wanted one, but obviously he complied, so. I'm the best negotiator in the world!
no subject
...honestly, I'm not sure if this is helpful or aggravating, though. Twenty-five? Really?

[ Guess who's peering at your work Sigrun! The bird seems impressed. ]
"Boundless" also applies to dominant hand?
no subject
[Like handpainting. Can a bird handpaint...]
no subject
It's very resourceful! The King admires how extensive The Boundless's training goes.
no subject
All part of survival, my good bird. Well, the two hands thing, the painting's just something I felt like doing today because why not? I haven't even been in here yet! Seems a shame when everyone was doing artsy stuff before.
[... and now it's all to herself. no one will ever know, except all of the people who see her now.]

You've got quite a talent, Sigrun.

Thanks, I know. Everyone back home can do this too but I'm absolutely the best at it. There's no one who can match my skill here!
[back home is debatable. but def not here.]
no subject
How long have you done this?
no subject
[Which is young, mind, but.]
Even then I'd still practice, mostly with my own awesome stories and the ones of my peers. So a while, I'd guess?
