WEEK 4 And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. Never been very good at them myself. But now that I'm here, there's no reason not to pick one up.

Oh, with enough time and effort, I'd be we could learn anything here. Granted, I'd never want to be here that long...

[bluh. Still stuck on worst case scenarios, and the best way to deal with it is joking. But when it's a very real possibility...]

Not good enough. I'm trying to play a particular song, but it's hard to play something by memory... Particularly if you haven't heard it for this instrument to begin with.

Not that it might help much with the trouble you're having. I might not be able to say if I've heard it or not. Different worlds, and all that.

My friend called it 'Nostalgic Sea'. It might have been an original composition of his, so I doubt you'd have heard it, but it goes like...

Well it's a charming tune, if you want my opinion. Can't say I've ever heard it before though.

Isn't it? He used to play it for his daughter and I thought I'd like to play it for Mettaton by way of apology.

Because of him being a... "robot"? [It's a strange word on his lips. But he has to pick up on other's lingo eventually.]

Right. He doesn't eat, so cooking for him won't do.

Right. I thought it was something like that at first, but I guess I missed the explanation of what a 'robot' was until recently. [From the past and all that.]

Seems like the two of you've gotten along splendidly up to this point.

He's my dear child, which makes fighting with him all the worse.

[Family feuding: officially the worst thing that could happen to Cherryblod minus somebody dying.]

[There's a brief flash of confusion across Speedwagon's face.]

It's alright. I wouldn't expect you to keep on top of what adoptions happen here.

That seems to be the case... perhaps it's possible for romance to blossom here after all.
