WEEK 7.
Two more Survivors have left you; Aqua was killed in cold blood and Mettaton... well, your thoughts on Mettaton probably vary depending on how close you were to him, but either way he chose to end Aqua's life and paid the price for it. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible seventh floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you've done well. You've earned it. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
chapel
And to kind of take a seat in front of it to... talk. To it. A little. Though it's not very audible, it's also not very long before she's apparently done with it and goes to sit a little ways away from Bruce instead.]
Ever feel like all of their faces are judging you? Always just staring. I guess maybe it could be comforting, like they're watching over you, but you know?
no subject
Eventually though it seems that Sigrun is done, and she moves to sit near him, and Bruce focuses back onto her when she speaks.]
Yeah. [He returns with a nod. He can easily see where Sigrun is going with that.] It could be one way or the other, depending on how you feel.
[And Bruce certainly feels pretty guilty - seeing all of the pictures here, it just reminds him how much they have already lost.]
no subject
... Or until there's just one left. A winner.]
Pinky mentioned that he asked if anyone was mad at me. [Which she grimaces at a little, still not too happy with one of her doubts being put out there like that.] No one was. I'm glad for it, but it's not like I would blame them if they were. That goes for you all too.
[The ones who're still alive, though from her tone it's clear she doesn't think anyone's too mad at her for... everything. Someone would've said something by now if they were. Or killed her.]
no subject
You... loved him. [The word 'loved' is said out so slowly, as if Bruce himself is unfamiliar with it.] I don't think anybody can blame you for that. He was important to you, and we all knew that.
[Well Bruce hadn't right until that very moment, but that doesn't matter.]
no subject
"Love". [A quiet correction.] I still love him. I've got my reasons for that, but I do. Him being dead hasn't changed that.
[...]
It was meant as a general anger, apparently, since... I said I'd protect everyone, and then everyone started dropping like flies -- which wasn't my fault, since that's their own choice if they decided something was worth the responsibility of death in the end, but... I mean, it's still pretty hard to know that even if you've tried your best, there's still not enough you could do to prevent anyone from dying, you know?
[This is a sentiment she's shared with maybe... two people. Who're still living, anyway. The others are dead one, one right in front of her and the other far to the side with a wooden statue as his stand in.]
It's not my fault and I know it. But it's still pretty hard.
no subject
Bruce doesn't know if he could do that. Or if what he had felt for Natasha in his dreams really was love at all. He admired her, yes, had a connection with her because of their own pasts, but still... maybe he was wanting too much. Or hoping for too much. He's always been greedy like that as much as he tries not to be.
He gives another nod to Sigrun's words, at least, able to share her sentiments for the most part.]
It was their choice in the end, but still... [Could something have changed if they tried to reach out sooner? To do something? Maybe it was futile or maybe something would have happened... but its too late to think that now.] It is discouraging, that no matter what you do it seems like somebody still dies regardless.
no subject
... I made the mistake of telling that bastard what one of my biggest fears was, once. Never told bombshell-- well, I'm pretty sure he might've figured it out anyway, with what I shared with him. Preeeetty sure it's just being used against me at this point though.
no subject
Not much point in regretting that now. [Though Bruce can easily feel bad for that...] Though I suppose you're no longer on good terms with him, after everything.
[Its probably kind of hard to keep it up after what happened.]
no subject
[... Crudeness aside, she really does want to kill him.]
no subject
...]
But I think you should get the first go, at least.
no subject
[There was something like a want to drag his stupid ass off the misguided path before, but now he's just a goddamn bastard.]
no subject
[They all have a bone to pick with him, but Sigrun just has the biggest bone right now among them.]
no subject
Maybe, maybe. [And she hesitates a moment, struggling slightly with the words.] ... But it's still my own fault in first place. I can admit to that much. I just need to make sure there's nothing else being hidden from us on the people front, though there isn't much I can do there at the same time.
[Whether there is or not isn't something the Kingmaker would give easily, probably, and even if she knew there were others what could she possibly do?]
no subject
How very wrong he was... and now they all had to pay the price for that.]
...we'll just have to do our best. [At least now they're aware of the possibility, and as hard as it is, they have to try and be wary now. Wary, but not alienate one another. That distrust would be their downfall.] He doesn't seem found of doing things twice, at least, so that's something in our favor.
no subject
[That'd be nice. But nooo, it's still interesting.]
no subject
[It's interesting because its always different people, different scenarios, different incentives... like a scientist bringing in new elements and seeing the reactions to it. Everything the Kingmaker does - it just seems like its for nothing more but for his own 'experiments'. Its sickening.]
no subject
I bet he's real happy about the show he's getting in the end here, even if... when I asked him, he pretty much declined to answer. I mean, I was also pissed and pretty much wanted his head on a silver platter, but still.
no subject
[More deaths, more pain, more everything. It's all nothing more but a game for the Kingmaker to watch, and Bruce hates that. Somebody who so willingly made this happen... how can anybody like that exist?]
no subject
Sigrun stretches and leans back on her hands, glancing around at the portraits.]
... Well, first chance I get to put a stop to it I will. We'll seize a moment of weakness and make it our counterattack. Hopefully with minimal lives lost.
no subject
I'm sure the chance will come. There's only so long he can keep hiding from us.
[And as much as he doesn't want to say it, Mettaton turning against them? Is probably a sign they're getting close. He wouldn't have been asked to stop them if that hadn't been the case.]
no subject
Him telling Mettaton to kill one of us probably means he's running out of as much time as we are... or he wasn't very happy with how things were working out. He claimed not to be angry after Yato's trial but I have got to wonder if there's something else there.
[That was the week where Mettaton was conspiring with him, too, when both Bruce and that dumb robot came out about talking to the Kingmaker about the incentive. Admittedly with two very difference topics attached.
She chews on her nail in thought, dredging through what she remembers of her conversations, and shakes her head.]
Not that I could think of what outside of impatience, but you know, for all that man is he's got a hell of a lot of it. He'll be difficult even if we corner him though.
no subject
[Anything important, that is. Like why he was doing this, or how they ended up here, or... anything, really. Despite what they know so far they're still as much of in the dark as they were at the start. It's frustrating.]
I won't be surprised if he'll be exactly the same as when we're talking with him through the devices. 'It's not important', or whatever the hell he usually says.
no subject
[... And a few fingers off on the side, but she's declining to mention that part of her plan.]
Think of it as us winning his little game. He'll have to reward us with some answers, right? Either way he's dead, so he might as well spill before we end him.
no subject
If his life is threatened he might be even less willing to tell us. Especially since he knows he's the only one with the answers that we need.
[Just saying for the record here, honestly.]
no subject
... Yeah, that's true. Why doesn't threatening people ever work? It seems like it would, you know? But noooo, it doesn't.
