Final Investigation.

You've all done very well to make it this far, but it's not over yet. The klaxons blare out today, as they always do – there's no reason they should do any differently, not least of which because it's a Thursday; strange things usually don't happen around here until Fridays, and there's no reason to think that today will be any different. But as soon as you awaken and get a glimpse of what's happening down that first-floor corridor, it becomes very apparent that that's far from the case. The usual rooms on the eastern wing of the first floor are gone entirely, replaced by more of that glossy black that coats the courtroom; it's a little vertigo-inspiring at first, but it's not dangerous. Of more interest, then, is probably those three rooms that seem to be waiting for you – one to the north, two to the south. Choose where you're going to go. Look around for a while. What else are you going to do, after all? >Explore?

[The room is large and open, but you'll find yourselves looking at a dark screen as soon as you walk in. It's massive and seems to take up most of the wall. In front of it is a faintly glowing control panel. There are smaller sections of the control panel to the left and right as well.]

I'm sure we'll find something or other.

[Even more weird stuff that will match the weird stuff they already have, in all likelihood.]

[It isn't. It's locked.

But you'll probably also notice a small device on the wall next to the door that looks like it requires a card key.]

[It's not like this is a very big room anyway, so they don't need to worry about that.]

[In the absence of anything that looks immediately dangerous, Cherryblod's going to move slowly and investigate that center control panel.

[The book is a thick, red ledger-type book and the first page in the book contains four titles in some sort of list:

AMBITIOUS
PRETENTIOUS
VAINGLORIOUS
OBSERVANT]

[Thankfully, as far as basic setups go the place is really sparse, about on the level of the conference room upstairs - there's the long table flanked with chairs set up in the center of the room, but otherwise there doesn't look to be much by way of furniture. So there's nowhere to hide in here; it's unlikely that you'll be surprised by anyone.

However, the northern wall of the room is dominated by a large screen - it's set into the wall, so there's no pulling it out or off - and beneath it are what looks like a pair of similarly-set speakers of some sort.

On the far wall, opposite the screen, there's a closed door.

[It's a bit hard to see anything in this room. The lighting is pretty terrible. But that sure is a control panel. It's got a lot of buttons on it!]

[There is! The card reader lights up and there's a click from the door. Sounds like you're good to go!]

I intend to take at least one with my group, but if anyone would like one for their group, they would be happy to assist if need be.

Mouri, look around the way you did in the conference room. Speedy, go check out that door.

[She'll uh. She'll stare at the screen, knocking it slightly with her hand. Wakey wakey?]

Hey, come look at this. It's got titles listed on it-- Ambitious, isn't that the title of the ghost the others mentioned?

[So obviously he's going to be looking through to see if there's any information on this mysterious "Ambitious" first.]

...looks like that's what the cards were for.

[Bruce has his own pair that he's found, of course, but it doesn't seem they're for this particular door.

He steps forward first and pushes it open slightly, peering through the gap first to see if there's anybody in there... or anything that could mean danger for them.]

[Nope. They're just buttons and they all look exactly the same.]

[This looks pretty similar to the conference room in some ways. It shouldn't be too hard to find some sort of clue. That is why his first action is to do the same thing that got him the keycards:

Oh god he sees the purple haze coming off of it, and his first worry is that they're about to explode. Thank goodness for Yosuke being quick on the draw.]
