Final Investigation.
| You've all done very well to make it this far, but it's not over yet. The klaxons blare out today, as they always do – there's no reason they should do any differently, not least of which because it's a Thursday; strange things usually don't happen around here until Fridays, and there's no reason to think that today will be any different. But as soon as you awaken and get a glimpse of what's happening down that first-floor corridor, it becomes very apparent that that's far from the case. The usual rooms on the eastern wing of the first floor are gone entirely, replaced by more of that glossy black that coats the courtroom; it's a little vertigo-inspiring at first, but it's not dangerous. Of more interest, then, is probably those three rooms that seem to be waiting for you – one to the north, two to the south. Choose where you're going to go. Look around for a while. What else are you going to do, after all? >Explore? |
[OOC: Welcome to the final investigation! The areas blocked off in rooms 2 and 3 will require card keys to open; otherwise, you are free to investigate at your leisure!
Remember, we need 15 comments total from each of you on this log somewhere!]

If anybody's not up immediately at the klaxons - Yosuke, that means you - Cherryblod will wake them by incessant knocking on their door until they get the hell up.
Once everybody's in the same place...]
So. Obviously we're investigating now. Does anyone have a preference about who with?
no subject
Anyway, with all of them gathered and having to face... this sudden transformation...]
I'll go with Stan.
[He works best with him right now, so it just makes sense.]

We should probably have relatively even teams, so that's two groups of three and one group of four. And we should probably split up the smarter people, in case we run into... sciencey things.
no subject
That's reasonable. And since Black and Captain Eide are still together, I'd say they should be the team of four.
[Everyone can just count Sigrun and Black as a single person on their own.]
no subject
I'm fine with that.

[Mouri hopes you don't mind, captain]

[Have a smile, Gabriel. Bruce is glad to have you around too.]

[He got a pike!! Which is... much easier to use than a sledgehammer. And his own brass knuckles, of course, in case of needed close-ranged combat.]

[At least they're all together, they can die easier that way....]
We've already done a fair bit of investigating together. [and look at how well that went!]
no subject
Captain, I'd like to lead a different group, if that's alright.

Meanwhile, welcome aboard, Speedy! We're gonna have fun.
no subject
Glad to be aboard. Hope I'll be of some use to you then.

[But she's not put off, just keeping Black close, and... well, today she sticks out more than she usually would in a glossy black hallway because she'd thought today would be a fan-fucking-tastic day to wear the finished product Black had been working on all week.
That is, her fighting-fit white dress and those bitchin' boots. At least she can't feel too uncomfortable when there's something to do.]
I don't really, outside of that I'm sticking with Black here, but, uh... [...
She's motioning you closer, Cherry.]

[He's coming close. What do you need?]

I'm glad you're leading another team, because I'm pretty sure Yosuke and Black didn't have the best time after the meeting and things have seemed kind of weird since then. So I didn't want them to be on the same one. Make sure you keep on your guard, though.
no subject
Of course, dear. I'll take care of everyone under me, so you do the same for your group.

...Thankfully there's no body to be found, but this is still alarming. He's glad he brought all of his important belongings along with him. Who knows where these rooms will lead?]
What in the world...
[Oh, right. Cherryblod's talking.]
I have no preference. But we should probably be prepared, no matter which room we choose.
no subject
In that case, would you like to come along with my group? I'd feel better with you around.
no subject
That gets a small smile from him, by the way.]
Of course. You have myself and my Pokemon at your service.

[Gestures to the now very different corridor and rooms before them.]

[Like all the weird stuff they've found.]

[Even more weird stuff that will match the weird stuff they already have, in all likelihood.]
