The past five days have come and gone, though exactly how easily they've done so is debatable; some have been trying to press onward in their optimism and faith that things will get better, while some seem convinced that things will only go downhill from here. However people have chosen to see it, though, clearly this week hasn't been all bad – after all, attempts at encouraging unity among the group seem to have been at least reasonably successful. ...Seem to have been. Friday dawns like the rest of the week before it – the clock chimes the hour at seven, the doors to the kitchen and the mail room unlock, and the building is quiet. It would seem that maybe the night passed reasonably quietly – were it not for the large red smears on the walls and floor of the southeastern side of the dormitory. It looks like somebody decided to be a damn overachiever and took some initiative of their own. >Explore?

[ The bruises, the fact that she's not waking up--this can't be happening. Not Adelina. She was so young, only 16 years old, how could anyone do this?

In a panic, Orihime reflexively reaches for her pins, moving her hand up to her collar. ] Shun'ō, Ayame-- [ Sōten Kisshun is what she'd say next in a desperate attempt to heal her, but alas, her hairpins are gone. Upon the realization, Orihime gasps before covering her face in her hands, feeling completely helpless and lost. ]

[ Welp. Viktor's just a normal guy, he certainly doesn't want to be anywhere near the body, so he's staying away from Adelina's room. As he tries to process everything, he decides to start looking around for clues that could point them to a culprit.

[This seems like a more secluded area to carry out investigations. Perhaps old habits needed to die hard, but Bruce couldn't blame himself for needing a degree of seclusion while doing these things.

[Judy can't bring herself to go into Adelina's room, and there are enough people checking there as it is. So, whether Nick follows her or not, she's going to look for evidence. Carefully.

[All the blood and a body have unsettled Jasper greatly, so she decides to bee-line for a different area of the university entirely. With her luck, this room is probably also covered in blood.

[Judy twitches, feeling her knees go weak as she hears Mercy call out for Adelina. A moment later, Guzma leaves, quickly. Then Varric.

She doesn't have to go to know why.

She was going to snap at Nick for saying things like that at a time like this, but ultimately Judy says nothing at all. She just stands there, watching the end of the hallway, her nose twitching as she tries to think about what to do. She's an officer, she needs to investigate this and bring whoever did it to justice.

...but Adelina. It's pretty close to home, even if they only knew each other a short while.

The rabbit takes a deep breath to steel herself, then turns toward...wherever isn't the bloody side of the hall.]

[While he's technically a healer, Christo's not the best equipped for diagnostics - best to let someone else handle that. He steps back outside the room, and decides to examine the stains more closely.

They don't smell like rust, apparently, so what do they smell like?]

[ She can't handle being in Adelina's room right now. After calming down and hearing the Wordsmith's announcement, Orihime heads out into the hallway to try and piece things together as best as she can.

Do the smears have any fingerprints or handprints on them at all?

[It looks like there is - there's a school uniform tossed in the sink. It's one of the ones everyone received as their second outfit.]

He contemplates going back to bed but, well... he kind of can't now that someone has definitely been murdered. It'd be suspicious first of all and second of all, it's just creepy sleeping with someone dead just down the hall.
