The past five days have come and gone, though exactly how easily they've done so is debatable; some have been trying to press onward in their optimism and faith that things will get better, while some seem convinced that things will only go downhill from here. However people have chosen to see it, though, clearly this week hasn't been all bad – after all, attempts at encouraging unity among the group seem to have been at least reasonably successful. ...Seem to have been. Friday dawns like the rest of the week before it – the clock chimes the hour at seven, the doors to the kitchen and the mail room unlock, and the building is quiet. It would seem that maybe the night passed reasonably quietly – were it not for the large red smears on the walls and floor of the southeastern side of the dormitory. It looks like somebody decided to be a damn overachiever and took some initiative of their own. >Explore?

[ She can't handle being in Adelina's room right now. After calming down and hearing the Wordsmith's announcement, Orihime heads out into the hallway to try and piece things together as best as she can.

Do the smears have any fingerprints or handprints on them at all?

[A pretty good guess, but unfortunately there don't seem to be any finger or handprints anywhere.

There are footprints, however! Most of them seem to be from a pair of boots... but there's one other one.]

[ So these are the smears on the floor, then? Unless someone walked on the walls because what is logic, but.

What is the other footprint? ]

Looks like whoever did this didn't cover their tracks.

[The other footprint is really only half a footprint and smudged, so it's difficult to get an idea of exactly what shoe it came from. With that said, it isn't the same as the boots and it looks a bit smaller.]

[ Huh...that's unusual. Two different sets of footprints. Though Orihime can take a guess at where that smaller one came from.

Around what shoe size would the size of the boot footprints be? ]

[They're not large exactly, but they're definitely on the bigger side of "medium". The other footprints are solidly "medium".]

[ Got it! So they're kind of around the same size, then.

Are there any distinct markings that were left from the undersides of the shoe (i.e. ridge marks)? And what does the other footprint look like it was left by? ]

[Unfortunately not. The most you can get is that it came from a shoe and not a foot. At least no one was running around barefoot, right??]

Do the footprints look like they're moving towards Adelina's room? ]

[It's kind of hard to tell, actually. They're sort of all over the place. The half-footprint looks like it might be going that direction? Again, hard to tell.]

[ She's slowly starting to figure out what might have happened in this particular area.

Is there anything else about the footprints to make note of? ]

[While Orihime examines the actual shoe half of the footprint, Judy gets down low to the floor and tries to get a closer look at the smaller, not-boot print.

Is there anything she can see from here? You know...while being super careful not to kneel in this stuff.]

[Unfortunately not! There isn't really anything else to note about the smudged print.]

[Alas...seems like Orihime has the footprints covered for now, then. Judy will look them over more closely when there's less chance of someone accidentally step in one. For the time being, she'll look somewhere else.]
