[ Generally, people need time to cope and gather themselves after a... thing... like that. Unfortunately, that's not how Vanille sees it. Her thing is avoid, and once she gets out of that hellhole that's the courtroom, she makes her way to the supplies closet, then to the library. She spends some time setting up things, pushing things aside to make room. Once she's finished, and she's met up with the Party Brigade, she makes enough invitations for everyone. She slips them under everyone's doors, or hands them out if she sees someone walking around.



Inside the library, there are candles set up to provide some soft, comforting lighting. There are pots of tea, courtesy of Mercy, pancakes made by Viktor, and books (picked out by Estelle, of course) laid out on the surrounding tables. The others have provided their own touches, and Vanille's even managed to make something: sugar cookies, which are actually very good. They're flavored lightly with all sorts of flavors--not all in the same cookie, okay--and each plate is marked with whatever flavor she's put in them.

After a successful trial, it's healthy to indulge, right? Let's mingle. ]

[As Phi addresses him, Nick gives a small shrug and offers his plate of cookies up to her.]

Well, you know... it's kind of hard to do anything you normally would when two people die within two days.

Mmyeah, I'd be surprised if anyone could just.... keep on going how they had been after everything that happened. I mean, did you see those weird tail things just.... drag her away?

[Taking another bite..]

A lot of people are gonna have some nightmares tonight, I'll tell you what.

[Phi pretty much just ate one of hers all at once.]

I think I'm gonna be one of them. I've seen some pretty messed up stuff, but nothing like that.

I've seen some pretty weird stuff too but... yeah, yeah. Tails dragging someone off into the black abyss, never to be seen again pretty much tops the list.

[He's not even sure he's seen anything even remotely close...]

Anyway, on a different subject that's less horrifying -- I don't think we've met yet.

[He shifts the plate into one of his hands then, and holds out a paw.]

Well, since the horrible ice has been broken I present you with this question: how long do you think it'll be 'till someone snaps next? A couple weeks? A day?

[It's.. dark, and a bit pessimistic. But he wouldn't be surprised if someone was planning another murder right now just because someone already sparked the fire, so to speak.]

....okay, that's another fair point. I know I wouldn't if being dragged into Hell by shadow tentacles was the risk.

I don't think we'll have to worry. We solved that mess of a murder so we'll solve whatever next big idea comes along, and they'll get to visit with our little octopus friend down there.
