First.
| Friday dawns much like the rest of the week before it – that is to say, obnoxiously. The klaxons are as loud as ever first thing in the morning, and anyone wandering out into the main corridor will be pleased to know that- ...Oh. It's a straight shot down the hallway, meaning that everyone's line of sight is likely to be immediately drawn to the unholy mess going on past the threshold leading to the dorms. There's some hints that someone may have been busy out here last night – for one thing, there's a chair lying on the ground for god only knows what reason. That's obviously not supposed to be there. Come on, guys, clean up after yourselves. Of course, there's also a fucklot of blood. That's probably important. It seems concentrated on the far end of the hallway, closer to the elevator than the dorms. There's also a large trail of it leading somewhere. That's probably also important. Despite everyone's best efforts to keep themselves busy and optimistic about escape, looks like somebody got restless last night. >Explore? |

There are slash marks and bruises all over the body; the most immediately noticeable thing, however, is the shock of hair haloing the person's head where they're lying on the ground – it's all different shades of pink and blonde and black, and maybe some faint traces of red staining the lighter portions of it.
Zagi is dead.]

N-no! It can't be!
[Everything's officially gone from bad to worse]

But of all people.
She runs forward to check for a pulse. No matter how slim the chance.]

He'll be here.]

Zagi!

Oh jesus christ--]
Shit. [Bruce mutters to himself.
It would be foolish to presume that this wasn't entirely unavoidable, but still...
He really had been trying to hold out for the best. For everyone else, rather than himself.
Shit.]

[ Her worst fears confirmed, tears are already starting to form at her eyes. It's so horrifying, and the knife wounds...
The sight of it makes her dizzy. She doesn't faint, but, she looks like she's just about to. What could have happened here? ]
Did...did one of us really do this?

[That sounded harsher than he really intended.]
C'mon, how about you get outta here. The detectives can deal with this.

[ She promised Lynne that she'd head straight back to her room, but suddenly, she's found that her legs don't really want to move. The sight of so much blood, everything in disarray, she's in her house again, her old one back in Tokyo, back when she was 17, and on the floor is...
That gets her to run. ]

Mettaton is with the others when it comes to wanting to know what all the commotion is; he seems unfazed by all the blood, maybe because the implications are taking a moment to sink in, and when he sees the state of the dining room his first thought is legitimately "well, how dead can he be, the body is right there-"
And then everything clicks, and his gloved hand is toying with that necklace he's still wearing, and his expression has gone kind of strange. Still sort of smirking a bit, because what the actual fuck should he be doing with his face at this, and he tips his head a bit before simply heel-turning and walking out, calling over his shoulder as he goes.
There's a laugh in his tone; it's very, very dry, because wow, what a goddamn way to start the day.]
Nice job failing Step One, ladies and gentlemen!

Hey, Mettaton, can I ask you something?

He seems pretty calm about the whole thing, though. Interested, but not excited or pleased. Just kind of here.
That said, he doesn't seem bothered by the company, either.]
Of course, darling. Whatever you like.

[Tarrlok's tone is low and dangerous, and he's now scanning the other survivors. He... doesn't actually seem sad, but angry? Oh man, yeah...]

Cherryblod freezes for a good few moments, then kneels beside the body- Zagi.
His voice is soft, but since everybody is crowding around anyway, it's probably fairly easy to pick up.]
I won't wish you peace in the next world, since I think you'd find that boring. I hope you find it challenging instead.
Goodbye.

Everyone should go back to their rooms. We can't let anyone else see him— see him in this state.
[ it was gruesome, disrespectful. like a discarded book, maybe. ]

[If anyone wasn't already here, then the shouting and commotion clearly drew them in already.]

Oh, no. The person she'd felt a kinship with. The guy who had Gotten Her and was possibly the best person she'd gotten to know the past few days, who shared food with her and was an asshole about Mettaton with.
There's people with better experience here in dealing with the body, so they can do their detecting thing or whatever, but she'll still raise her voice for all to hear:]
Let the detectives and the doctor handle this, everyone else out.
[It's a command, putting her experience as a captain to good use.]

[Don't hurl on the body Yosuke, please. He *does* bolt like a startled rabbit regardless.
He can't handle this, he just TALKED to Zagi recently- how...]

[Megumi, who has been pretty dead quiet when following everyone to see what the commotion was about, is definitely going to start crying soon, if she doesn't end up fainting first.
This can't be, he was fine yesterday, so why...]

I don't want to give orders or the like... but maybe you shouldn't be in here.
