WEEK 3.
As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining. It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 25 |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

You look way better when you're laughin', Elda! Man, I can totally see how someone'd fall head over heels for you when you're smilin' too, I wouldn't mind spendin' a couple centuries with a girl like you either. James got lucky.
[Flirting's been a good thing here, for him. Not for himself recently... but for the one he's doing it to, because flattery's a good medicine and distraction as far as he can tell. Besides, it makes people feel good when it's done right, what's bad about it.]

She doesn't know how to respond.
How does one be a good widow? How does one survive the love of your life?
And so she just pushes through it with that same indomitable (hah) force she always does ]
Damned right he did! [ She shakes her head ] For a while he was gunning for pretty little Cecilia, can you imagine how bored he'd be with a broad like that? And I tell you, there wasn't a single day we weren't sleeping in the same coffin while we planned to get up the next night! Mt in all that time!
[ She brushes back her hair, priming herself. ]

[... It's not quite the same, but it's how he survives time away from Crys and Silver. At least with the first he knows she's okay, but Silver?
Man, he's just waiting for the day his pal doesn't come around because he's dead. It's a lot of trust that Silver's fine and handling himself and not hurt.]
So tell me all about your hubby! Spare no detail, I wanna hear what made this guy so great that a spitfire like you'd settle down.

James was a true gentleman. He even married into the Marker family you know. He's originally from a no-name family called the Edwards, in the shadow of the Brownlick clan. [ She begins there, but that doesn't capture him. She shakes her head, leaning back against the pool table, spinning the cue ] He was tall, tall with broad shoulders and those deep, aged eyes. He was a little bit older than me, only forty or so years, but when we first met, by golly I never told him but it sure felt like a lot. He had dark hair towards the back of his head and a dark beard to match, but his bangs were a pure and platinum blonde. As for his skin... [ She examines her own, tugging on it, and then looks at Gold's ] His skin was darker than mine, of course. But for all of its tanned callouses, it sure made that handsome devil look distinguished.

So how'd you two meet?
[because for all his attitude and looks, gold's kind of a romantic]

[ she shakes her head. Gosh. ]
But when we landed on the island and everyone went their different ways, he went with me. We didn't know where to go in Japan, of course, so we got in some trouble, but one day, a little homesick about everything I'd been down and pushed James off. But he- get this! He brushed my hair and kissed me softly on the neck! And right there, he asked if I'd be willing to be with him forever! Because he wanted to be my number one!

And you said yes. After he just kissed you on the neck [WHICH HONESTLY, HE DOES NOT BLAME YOU, THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT MIGHT BE A NICE SPOT TO BE KISSED] and all.

I was never going to be alone again.
[ She provides no context for why that would be a concern.
And it hurts to say.
It hurt so much she wants to cry. But she tries to bask in that bright moment from 200 years ago, that knowledge that James had saved her, she knows with absolute certainty ]

No wonder he got so heated... [jeez.] ... I don't know what it's like to be alone; I've always been surrounded by people and Pokémon, I've always had someone or something.
[And he knows he's pretty lucky about that. He knows.]
But that doesn't mean I don't get it, you know? I'm glad your husband was around for so long to make sure you didn't gotta be, and even if he ain't around now you've still got all the family he left behind! So you really ain't gonna be, long as you make it outta here.

James really gave me a wonderful life. And I know I'm going to get out of here and live long enough that I can see our great grandchildren! I'm sure one've them will get his looks.
