WEEK 3
As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining.

It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt.

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting.

Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week.

Trying to figure out my life.

[This is her life now.]

[ Oh boo, she didn't jump! She was hoping to spook her- oh well she was probably noticed a while ago. Either way, she reaches out to get the thing she set down ]

What? What's your life got to do with charts?

That might take some time to explain... on the other hand, we've got nothing but.

I mentioned Dcom to you before, right? Well, it turns out I didn't remember this at first but everyone in Dcom got kidnapped for something called the Decision Game.

[ . . . ]

The Decision Game? Someone ran a variety show on Mars that people got kidnapped for?

[ You know, she's starting to suspect it might actually be more like this... ]

How many times do I have to tell you I wasn't actually on Mars before it sticks?

[Her suspicions are correct! It probably should have been more than just a suspicion, though. The words "execution vote" aren't exactly the most obtuse hints.]

Anyway, eight of us, plus some guy apparently just called "Q", were split into three teams, three people each, and made to vote to execute one of the other two teams.

[ Well shit, that's serious. So serious she's not going to respond to the "not actually on Mars" thing because it's way more interesting to imagine it was actually on Mars. Or well, no, it's because this is suddenly a lot more worth paying attention to.

Her eyes narrow. ]

And you didn't remember it? So did someone else do this after the fact, or was it secretly the whole point of your Dcom?

It better not have been, but if it was it was a hell of a smokescreen.

[She's not counting out Free the Soul being involved in this.]

But no, there's no apparent connection between Zero and the company that funded the experiment.

And Zero's the big bad kidnapper guy?

Yeah I can do that.

I work with an organization called "Crash Keys". It's led by a kind of psychic, so we had information that events that would take place at Dcom would lead to the deaths of six billion people and turn Earth into a blasted wasteland.

Holy shit.

Yep.

It's up to me, or possibly the other two Crash Keys members that came with me, to stop it from happening.

Okay. So you work for some psychic who told you to go to Ma-- fake Mars and prevent everyone from getting killed, but then some guy named Zero put you in a murder guessing game?

[ Is that right??? ]

Yes.

Especially the "guessing" part.

Oh, right you said... Decision game. So something about making choices.

Right. "Which of the other two teams do you vote to execute" is a decision. "Do we push this blue button with obvious warning signs or not" is a decision.

[Those two things were on that flowchart.]

And everyone gets those? I mean... every team, I guess?

Yeah, but I don't know what they're doing since the teams are separated from one another.

Besides, if Zero is to be believed... one of the other teams is already dead.

But if they're dead... what's the choice?

...What I meant by that was that I remembered something from after the execution vote.

[And she doesn't remember which team Diana voted for.]

Jeez, you got it bad with the confusing part.

I'll say. I can't fit what I remembered into this timeline graph, on account of not knowing which team it was.

[She brings up the chart again.]

Oh. Oh! Oh, you mean that the memory-dreams you got aren't in order?! That's what you mean, right?! Same here!

[ SHE FIGURED IT OUT?! ]

That's interesting. For me they're likely to be in chronological order within the same timeline, I just can't tell if there's anything between them yet.

[She figured... part of it out, at least.]

Mmmhm! I'm almost certain that the one I got today is before the one I got a week ago. It makes no sense otherwise.

[ Because... she couldn't have pulled off that happy of a story if - ]

[There's a lot of reasons that could be. No point prying.]

For me... well, let's just say there's about four and a half hours unaccounted for between the vote and waking up in the Healing Room.
