WEEK 3.

WEEK 3

As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining.

It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt.

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting.

Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week.

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

[ There's something in her that makes her regret honesty hour a little more every time she digs deeper, but on the other hand, it's... maybe not necessarily nice, but she does like learning about people. It's not really something she gets to do normally outside of here, obviously. ]

...You've got some pretty careless guards and one messed up world.

[ Not that hers is objectively better, except—no, wait, it pretty much is, by virtue of not having soul-ripping human sacrifice. Or people who merge their dog and their kid. Or anything in Amestris, ever. ]

If you'd been waiting to die, then— [ ...granted, one's soul being torn out doesn't seem like such a feel-good time, but— ] then why'd you break out? If you don't mind me asking, or think it's a stupid question.

[...You know what, apparently he's just determined to go for the gold in the Shitty Person Olympics today, because he's actually going to answer her, in a tone that implies that he doesn't regret the answer and he's actually not fucking with her.]

I was entirely fine dying in there, but the problem was that there were a bunch of us all together - it wasn't done individually.

So I was sitting on the floor, waiting for whatever was going to happen, when some guy started hassling me. He called me some stuff that I didn't care about, and then he decided it was a good idea to say that he didn't believe all the stories about my alchemical skill. Called me a fraud, said that I probably wasn't anywhere near as powerful as the stories said.

So I got up and gave him a demonstration.

[ It takes her a moment to get it, but oh, she gets it. ]

...You really are terrible. And petty.

[ Nothing really bothers him except getting called a fraud about the one thing that he actually likes doing. ...she gets that, she can imagine she'd be pretty ticked if someone said that about her skating. before the whole. yeah. Not enough to kill a guy, but you know what, they're just going to have to live with their differences and be happy with it. ]

You could've just ignored him—you know he was just trying to get your goat. [ ... ] He probably thought you'd just punch him or something, not... that.

...Does it really matter? Whether I did it or the government did it, that guy was going to die either way - I don't really see a difference between doing what I did and punching him in the head, if the outcome was going to be the same.

[...And that as well seems incredibly straightforward; he's not trying to make excuses, he just...legitimately doesn't see a difference.]

[ He has a point too, but it doesn't settle right with her anyway. ]

It doesn't, but it's the principle of the matter. Being the bigger person. Not blowing up all your problems.

[ ...But if he hadn't, they wouldn't be having such delightful talks like this. And she's not really in any shape to talk, considering her method of dealing with things. ]
