[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]


Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.

So you blackmailed me into helping you, huh? Pretty clever for a carrot farmer.

[That gets a little smirk out of Nick.]

And lemme guess -- the case you were solving was about predators going savage, right?

[Considering his last memory and hearing something about someone darting every predator in town for something or another and the news talking about a bunny being killed by a savage fox... it's not hard to piece that together.]

[Judy smiles back, though her usual sass isn't...really there.]

I'm not some dumb bunny, you should know that even if you don't remember me saying it.

[She's pretty well convinced these are memories now, especially when Nick accurately guesses the topic of the case...the MANY cases that had been solved.]

That...is correct, yes. I thought Mr. Otterton had just gone missing, but...there was more to it than that. A lot more.

[Judy takes a breath, her expression looking...conflicted.]

I don't think that police uniform you woke up in was there on accident, Nick. I don't know how you ever came into having it, but I know for a fact that you were working with me to solve the case.

[officerwilde]

Well, it'd make sense that I'd be rewarded for helping you solve a case, right? I don't know why I'd ever agree to becoming a cop, but maybe there's a good reason for it that neither of us can see.

[Nick gives a small shrug. He's really surprised that she's even alive if her memory's been wiped.. he was sure he killed her when he woke up a week ago covered in sweat but maybe.. maybe something happened to prevent that from happening, somehow.]

Anyway, I hate to say it but if everything we've remembered is right... that means we're partners, Hopps. And I doubly hate to say it -- but if we want to get out of here then we should probably start getting along a little better.

At least until we're back in Zootopia.

[officerhops]

[Judy takes a long, slow breath. Looking at Nick, after the memory she had at the beginning of the week...is painfully hard. She remembers the pain and confusion in his eyes when she'd blathered on about predators reverting to their savage ways. Like he'd really cared about what she had to say.

"And here I thought someone believed in me."

The rabbit's eyes close for a moment before she nods, her paws gripping her hips.]

I can't say you aren't a bad guy, Nick. But you're not a bad guy. You've actually helped with these investigations, sort of, and you haven't killed anyone.

So, I guess...I'm willing to try and see past our differences if it means an easier time trying to figure our way out of this mess.

[officerwilde]

Great.

[Nick says this... well, kind of unimpressed. But he offers his paw out to her anyway, for a good old fashioned hand....... paw-shake.]

Try not to get me killed before we can get out of here, okay?

[officerhops]

[...well. Judy eyes his paw for a moment, but after some deliberation she reaches out and takes it in her own.]

Weren't you the one who said you weren't dumb enough to let yourself get killed so easily? If it would be anyone's fault, it would be yours, Wilde.

[officerwilde]

[The smile on Nick's face looks sweet, but she might feel him squeeze her paw a little too tight.]

Hmm, and it'll probably be a certain "determined" bunny who would drag me into some kind of crazy mess that got me killed in the first place.

[He'll let go of her paw then, and lean against the wall.]

But let's not place our bets on anything, yet.

[officerhops]

[Yeah, the squeeze isn't missed. She pulls her paw away pretty quick after the handshake is over, folding her arms across her chest.]

Well let me ask you a question while I'm here, Nick.

How well have you been getting along with the others, here?

[officerwilde]

Uh... enough not to go around plotting any murders or anything, if that's what you're asking.

[He's a small, cute little fox Judy.. how dare you suggest such a thing even though that's not at all what you suggested.]

[officerhops]

...no. It's not. I'm asking because if you're going to work with me, you're going to have to learn to get along with and work with everyone else, too.

I...we might be officers, but this is also a group effort.
