I have a dream that I want to fulfill with you...
[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.
With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]
Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.
- Mikazuki, Orihime, Hanyuu, & Estelle
[ The food and drink has been set out, what with there being tea, vichyssoise, cream puffs, and fish for everyone to enjoy. ]

"...Something bothering you?"
"You might be one of the few that wouldn't find that strange."
"But I'm certainly not about to kill anyone."
...
"Did you really think I cared?"
...But now two of the people he talked to (actually talked to) aren't going to be around, and it's because one of them killed the other, and while it's a lot easier to just be angry at Kira for being a stupid bastard than it is to even think about Chiyuki at all he doesn't really want to think about either of them for too long, and if he stays in this room any longer he's going to snap.
So he's going to forego the gathering in favor of disappearing downstairs onto the second floor, not stopping until he finally reaches the chemistry lab, where he plans to stay for as long as possible. His actions are strange and mechanical once he gets there, pulling some things down off the shelves and just...staring at them for a moment before beginning to methodically combine some of them.
It's hard to say what he's trying to make. Probably not anything good, but probably not anything fatal, either. At least not immediately so.
He'll be here most of the night, really. He doesn't seem agitated, but he doesn't seem calm, either; just...incredibly blank, like the feelings are off for now.]

[It was only fitting that he stumbled across one of the sources.]
[To his credit, he stayed his hand, resisted the urge to turn tail and grab a crossbow from below. Much as he distrusted Kimbley, Varric wasn't about to make a mess of things. It was like the man had said -- he wasn't about to put his loved ones through the stress of convicting him of murder.]
[Instead he cleared his throat and crossed his arms over his chest.]
Zolf.

... He'll head back downstairs to make a couple of the cocktails that he's been focusing on, the ones he found at the scene, and he'll set one across from Kimbley, leaning against a shelf with his own. Gold is definitely, like, there on the drunk scale, but he's apparently not the loud kind of drunk. Or maybe it's the sobering day.]

This is all before the gathering, of course. She finishes with her tears and does something, and after... Well, after, she can be found in the library with playing cards, and a few board games - Go, shogi, chess, simple things. If anyone needs a distraction, here it is.
Besides that, she'll approach others, particularly if they appear not to be eating or socializing, bringing them something sweet to eat and some tea.]

You can find him in the library for a good part of the evening. He's brought something to keep his hands busy today though, so he won't be intentionally antagonizing anyone. There's a chess board and pieces set up (which he clearly stole from the game room) so if you'd like to play, you're welcome to join him. When he's not playing with anyone he's got the Second Seal Varric pulled from the vending machine and Gangrel's amusing himself by spinning it around, looking sort of lost in thought.
Later in the evening he'll be in the kitchen, making tea. He's actually picked up how to do that, so you can find him shoving a black tea bag into a pot and watching it go. He's still very wary of the stove, but it looks like he's gotten over the initial fear. He'll also be making more cream puffs, because why the hell not. It's the one thing he can consistently make.]

[He'd had a point: Varric wouldn't ever put his girls (Kimihiro included) through that. But in some ways... he viewed that as a weakness. If he could let that part of him go, he'd be better off. They'd all be better off. His gut instincts had been right -- Kimbley was a threat.]
[Still, tradition was not to be forgotten. He knew little about Chiyuki, about what she wanted or needed. But he'd picked up some of the information that had been shouted at the trial.]
[Should someone come out to the foyer, they'd find a note over Chiyuki's profile, same as Adelina, Alani and Christo.]
"It's time," the dark-haired boy said, standing to the right of the woman. He clapped a hand on her back, then grimaced and apologized. The last thing he wanted was to cause her any damage.
To her other side, a boy with red hair glowered at the other male, before giving Chiyuki an encouraging look. "You can do this."
At their words, Chiyuki drew a breath. A hand lingered on the door, quaking slightly before pushing it open. She stepped inside, shot a look back at her boys, before closing it behind her. Taking a few steps inside, she forced herself to take one last quaking breath, before calling out.
"Mom? Are you here. I... I wanted to say something to you... I wanted to apologize."

Lusamine is gonna be at the party, at the very least--she's got Clefable and Lilligant out with her this time, at least. Between petting them in a seemingly aggressive motion (enough that both appear to be a little concerned) and enjoying some tea, she's pretty much out of it completely. Whether that's due to Yoshikage Kira's wild ride or the execution that came after is up for debate.
...It probably does help that she brought a bottle of gin with her, and she's mixing it in with her tea. A bottle may have shown up in the trial, but she doesn't care at this point. Even if it tastes a little weird.]

He feels like... okay. He feels like going on a raid. A horror movie raid. Time not to have any sense of self-preservation.
He's gonna go see if there's anything fucked up and weird in Kira's room.
So first, he's standing outside of Room 22 debating a bit... and then he goes in.
...
So anyway, he heads to the library with the booze in one hand and Stray Cat in the other, because why the fuck does Kira get something as cool as cat plant. Cat plant is his now. He sets the pot on one of the tables and has handed the strange animate plant thing his Mesopotamia, which the cat plant is absolutely mesmerized by. And honestly, it's hard to feel kind of weird and grossed out about that whole thing when you're watching a cat plant play with a slinky.]

As usual, he spends most of the afternoon in his room. This time, though, he's cleaning. He puts his own mattress on his bed, makes the blankets on it, then folds both Orihime's blankets and Hanyuu's blankets neatly. He doesn't take them back yet, but they're right near his door, so they can be taken back to their respective rooms later.
Then, he cleans. Cleans his floors, cleans his bathroom, cleans everything. He may or may not be visible in the halls, going to the laundry room for cleaning supplies. Once the room is spotless, and his hands are red from the chemicals, Watanuki finally gives up on cleaning his room. He washes up, and then he goes out.
He goes to the library, where he can be found for most of the evening. But he's just sitting there, stewing on something. The anger is mostly gone, but some complicated feelings have been left behind, and he's not sure what to do.]

She leaves quickly to head to the supply closet and to her own room. She also stopped in Chiyuki's room, as if hoping to find something but not even knowing what to look for.
One week ago, annoyed at how much sympathy there was for Alani Elda had decided to put up a eulogy story for Kyrie, almost in mockery of Varric's stories. This week, Elda has written a story yet again, this time to put atop the profile of Yoshikage Kira.
She's aware of the hypocrisy. She doesn't care. ]
The man blinked, the room feeling oddly hot. The air was thick, far too smelly for his liking. As he looked around him, everything was dyed with red, and the temperature grew somewhat warmer. Adjusting his suit, the man stepped further through the smog, outwards towards whatever awaited him further through the dirty environment. It was still too flashy for his liking. He would need to dust it later.
Or so he thought, until he stumbled upon something bright and beautiful. Two hands, two gorgeous, well manicured hands. Seeing this as salvation, the man brought them to his lips, so that he might kiss them, he might savor them. But as he brought out his tongue, the hands didn't taste of flesh. They tasted of sulfur, of the dark rocks deep beneath the earth. And then the hands moved - the hands rejected him. They wrapped around his neck. They strangled him, forced their fingers doubt his throat even as they snuffed out his life.
But he didn't die. The fingers grew longer, bigger, they melted, and his lungs were soon filled with ash. His stomach overflowed, his yes bulged out. And then his body lit on fire. His soul was going to burn, just as his flesh would, but still, he would not die. This, as it seems...
This was hell.
[ Content with that story but nowhere near content in her mood, Elda Marker plans to retire to her own bedroom early, uncharacteristic of the surprisingly social vampire. ]

And yet, there'd the muffled sound of a paw knocking on her door anyway.]

Eventually, though, he heads downstairs and starts at the bar; he's remembered the kind of alcohol that made up that drink they found evidence of and he's mixing it in different amounts, trying to get it right. He doesn't know what it's called, what kind of significance it might hold, but he's trying his best to get it right.
Notably, they're not particularly drunk out of... until he hits the mark right. That one's staying at his side on the bar.
Last place to visit with the drink in hand is the billiards room, though he stays at the doorway for a little while before he gingerly enters it, popping himself onto a table and looking at the one that Chiyuki must've died near. He'll play a little 8ball by himself, he'll practice clearing the table numerically, but he just... this is where he's going to be until he decides to sleep, Polibo joining him after a bit.]

Be careful not--
['--to fall asleep' would have been what she would have said, but she finds it insensitive, not to mention the image of Milla comes to mind.]
