I have a dream that I want to fulfill with you...

[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]


Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.

[ Oh, Judy... Vanille comes over with a plate of veggies from the kitchen. Just in case. ]

Doing okay?

[officerhops]

Okay is...relative. I'm actually just mad, so I'll be okay.

[Judy exhales slowly, looking over at Vanille as she sits nearby.]

What about you?

[ravagers]

I... I don't know.

[ She shakes her head. ]

It was the shortest one we've had yet... but I still feel real exhausted, you know?

[officerhops]

Oh, I know. I know. The only reason it was short is that Kira was a terrible, stuck-up person who thought he'd get away with it while being pretty blatant about what he'd done.

In the end...he had it coming to him.

[ravagers]

Mm...

[ ... She agrees, but she doesn't like that she does. She doesn't want anyone to die, even... even if they're really terrible. But at the same time, he deserved it.

Needless to say, she's got a lot of complicated, conflicting feelings. ]

Chiyuki... I didn't know her well, and we didn't even talk at all except for once... but she didn't deserve any of that. She... a lot of people loved her. [ She shakes her head. ] I wish... I would've spoken to her more.

[officerhops]

...I know. I think she would have understood, though. There are a lot of us here and a lot going on...naturally it would be hard to get to know everyone very closely.

[ravagers]

Yeah...

[ Sigh. ]

So many of us... I really hope that number doesn't go down anymore...

[officerhops]

Me too. The best we can do is keep hoping that it doesn't. The Wordsmith isn't helping, antagonizing us every week like he is.

[ravagers]

I see why he does it... but I don't understand, I guess.

[officerhops]

No...yeah, me too. One of these days, hopefully soon, we're going to find out why. And when we do, I'm putting him under arrest.

[ravagers]

[ She nods. ]

I think we'd all like to see that. He'll... take responsibility for what he's done, won't he?

[officerhops]

If we have to, then he has to. He told me once that "we'll see" if he ever HAS to...but I'm going to see to it that he does.

[ravagers]

[officerhops]

Oh, of course. I know you'd always have my back, Vanille.

[Judy offers her her best smile, even though it's clearly tired.]

The same goes for you too, you know.

[ravagers]

I'll sure do my best.

[ Aw, Judy... Vanille reaches out and gently pats her paw. ]

You're a really great friend, Judy.

[officerhops]

[Judy's lips quirk into a smile, and in response she reaches up and grasps Vanille's hand with her paw, even though its much smaller and not quite as easy as holding a person's hand.]

I try to be, you know? And you are, too.
