I have a dream that I want to fulfill with you...

[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]

Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.

- Mikazuki, Orihime, Hanyuu, & Estelle

[ The food and drink has been set out, what with there being tea, vichyssoise, cream puffs, and fish for everyone to enjoy. ]

You'll have to land a perfect waltz jump two hundred times before I'll even consider teaching you the more difficult jumps.

One of the easiest jumps. Beginners start with the bunny hop jump, and then move on to the waltz jump.

[you are just

it's over his head, but okay]

So she totally bypassed all of that. [...] Did you start out at the basics, or did you have some big fancy kinda thing like her?

I assume she meant that it was the first of the six main jumps she learned, not that she totally skipped the basic two. Mine was the Salchow; it's similar to the waltz jump so it's usually the first one taught to beginners after they learn the waltz and bunny hop.
uncouthhatcher: (dreamy ain't he)

Oh, gotcha. Still would've been cooler if she skipped it completely. Skatin' terms sure are fancy soundin'. [...] What got you into doin' it anyway?

My parents were often busy and I needed something to do on days they'd work late, so I'd go to the local ice rink and skate. I spent most of my childhood there.

Sounds lonely. Do you know how she got into it?

No, only that she started skating early since she landed the lutz when she was six. Most competitive skaters start between the ages of three to five.
uncouthhatcher: (you ain't so tough)

That young, huh.

[... Crys was around that age when she started doing her career stuff, too.]

Are you gonna do it until the day you die too?

[ He shakes his head. ]

Skaters retire in their twenties when their bodies become less flexible and they become more likely to get injured; it's all downhill after twenty-one, really. Twenty-seven is very old in competitive skating.
