[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]

[Her voice is soft, almost careful as well as if she spoke to loudly she'd make him run away or evade the topic further.]

[ He has been evading the topic, yeah. It's a topic he generally avoids, but with Estelle it's more because of how she reminds him of her. But he's in a mood where his thoughts are flowing a little more freely than he'd like, and it makes him elaborate further.]

She was named after the flower, but I called her Lieze for short.

[Suddenly, things are starting to click in Estelle's head. Something happened to this 'Lieze' she imagines and he hasn't wanted to speak about it. Even if there are some things she doesn't get, she's insanely insightful.

She's really curious about this, but also she is treading with caution. She can tell this is a sensitive topic.]

[She's still not sure how she killed Belius, but her secret said she did.]

[ He doesn't reject her hug, though he doesn't hug her back either.]

I didn't kill her with my own hands, but I might as well have. She was put in danger because of me, and I couldn't protect her.

[ That's all that mattered to him, really.]

[She'll just hug him more tightly then.]

I'm so sorry, Killia. I'm sorry things happened like that. I know Lieze forgives you.

[That pain, she can't imagine it at all. There aren't words she could say that would 'blow it over' because it's not something you can say to just... make it better.]

[ For a few moments he hugs her back before he pulls away.]

That doesn't matter. All that matters is that I kill him, that I kill Void.

[When he hugs her back, she knows it's comfort he needed. She keeps her embrace going on for just a bit longer before she pulls back as well.]

You've mentioned Void many times before and even told me that it's your reason for being alive is to kill him. I... can't imagine the pain he's brought you that you feel you must do this. I've said this many times, but please take care of yourself.

Killing each other in the Netherworlds isn't a big deal. That's the code demons live by, whoever is strongest survives and the weak die.

[ He feels the need to correct her because he holds no belief that his quest for vengeance is just, or anything of the sort.]

['--protecting the weak that can't protect themselves?' She almost says it but then even she realizes that's a hot topic button she should avoid right now.]

--never mind. It's true that the strong do survive, but... I don't know how to put it in words.

...I didn't say I agree with it all the time, but it's how it is. And as far as Void is concerned, that's what he deserves.

Some people need to be killed. I understand that. Law and reason don't work and in order to save the most people, that must be done.

[Somehow after three weeks, she still has a good head on her shoulders and can still think rationally. She surprises herself sometimes.]
