[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]


Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.

[Lusamine's fists clench by her side at the thought of him again. The fact that he'd kill her, just for her hands--that it was all that she was useful for--

Her expression becomes severe.]

...He deserved worse. So much worse. If I had the strength to do so, I would have hoped that I could kill him with my heel...!

I wouldn't have minded seeing you take him down a peg or two.

At the same time, if you killed him, you wouldn't be around anymore.

[He's just glad that Lusamine's still here, really. As terrible as here is, it isn't death.]

I suppose that's a point. After what he said...I don't think I would have stopped, unless someone pulled me off of him.

[She can at least be honest in that regard.]

...I trusted him. I was actually going to let that man take care of my nails at some point. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to do something like that, but...

[It makes her feel slimey, now. She's mad.]

[...He's not really sure what to say to that, but the very real fact that Lusamine could have died this week keeps sinking in more and more. What's he supposed to say? Don't trust anyone, they could turn out to be insane serial killers? That's not realistic. That's not fair.

In the end, he decides to go for a hug instead. She seems like she could use one.]

That...gets Lusamine to pause, seizing up a bit at the contact--she really doesn't...do physical affection. Not well, anyway--occasionally patting ones head perhaps, but...

...Well, considering the fact that she's going to pull him further into it, yeah. She may very well have needed that. It's certainly not the kind of hug that Guzma might've demonstrated, but it's definitely a little clinging.]

[It's not just her and Guzma. She's not alone. And even if she's older than him, maybe she needs that comfort too.]

...I can't promise that. No one can. I don't want to lie to you.

[Because despite his best efforts, someone could very well kill him, or Gold, or- that's exactly why this place is so terrifying.]

But I want to survive. I want to make it back home with Gold. I'll do my best to stay safe, and I can promise that.
