[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.

With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]

[ They got into a very small quarrel over some things but. Yeah. ]

I'm going to make one for Chiyuki-san too, later on.

[Oh... That draws up a little sad smile.]

I should have figured, Nick, with his fur, of course. Aah... I think Chiyuki would like that, though. What colors were you thinking of using?

Black, purple, and white, I think. I'll put it up right next to Varric-san's story.

[ She hasn't read it yet, but she's sure it will be a nice one. ]

A lovely place for it. [...] You did so well today, when confronted with...everything.

[introspects]

I...I barely did anything, Hanyuu-san. I just brought the shards with me.

If anything, you--you were so powerful today, to stand up against Yoshikage-san like that.

[oyashiromama]

Me? [She shakes her head. Why would she think that?] After everything he said...it was easy to do, it was the right choice. You, even after the things he said, you helped to keep pushing.

[introspects]

What do you mean by that, Hanyuu-san?

[ That was a pretty badass moment, though. Everyone was really impressed. Good on you, Hanyuu! ]

[oyashiromama]

This...wasn't like the previous trials. [Because they all got righteously angry? No.] Kyrie was...heartless, but she had motive, to return to her family. Alani... [Her heart aches.] Alani wanted to save her people. Kira... That man cared only for himself and for continuing to do harm to others. Even when confronted with it, he insisted on his way of life being nothing wrong, or unsettling.

You still...tried to understand him. Orihime, that's valiant.

[introspects]

[ Ah. That's why. ]

I...I'm angry at him for what he did. And I'm...a little worried at how quick I was to press that button. I don't...I don't believe in this sort of thing, so I was even surprised at myself that I had convicted him so quickly.

[ ... ] But I can't help but feel sorry for him, Hanyuu-san. It was like...he just didn't know any better. He wasn't doing it to become a king, or to take over the world [ like a certain someone she knows from home ]. He just thought of it as something normal.

It doesn't make him any less of a culprit, but I wish--I wish I could at least understand why Yoshikage-san was the way he was.

[oyashiromama]

[She places a hand on Orihime's arm.]

And that's something that so many wouldn't think to do. It's...something I should try to, given my position. [But she didn't this time. That's...something for another time.] It's a kindness that despite all he'd said, you still think this way.

[introspects]

[ Orihime still doesn't give herself any credit for this. She thinks it's silly to emphasize with someone, a serial killer at that, and she shakes her head. She still hasn't completely grasped the whole 'kindness is strength' thing yet, so here we are. ]

It's...it's silly, Hanyuu-san. I...I think what you did was the right thing. We're all proud of you.

[oyashiromama]

...I wish I could be sure of that, Orihime.

[introspects]

It's...okay to not forgive him, Hanyuu-san. He did something terrible for a terrible reason to someone who didn't deserve it.

[oyashiromama]

...That he did. [Breathes deep.] So let's not talk of him. Let's...talk of honoring Chiyuki's memory, instead.

[introspects]

Right. [ Chiyuki. That's who's important. ] I didn't know her very well, but I think we all knew Chiyuki-san's secret wasn't true.

[oyashiromama]

[She nods in agreement.]

Whatever it meant...she was a good woman. A good person, always.

[introspects]

Chiyuki-san was kind and sweet and really beautiful, inside and out! I hope--I hope wherever she is, she's having the time of her life!

[oyashiromama]

[...a little bit of unfortunate phrasing, but- Hanyuu gives a small, somber smile.]

Me as well. If...there's any justice in this world...then she is safe, and at peace.

[introspects]

[ Oh. That was really unfortunate, whoops. ]

I'm sure of it. And...I believe she'll get to apologize to her mother, in her own way.

[oyashiromama]

...I hope she will. [Hanyuu...doesn't know what she wants to apologize about. She just prays Chiyuki's feelings reach her mother.]

[introspects]

[ Neither does Orihime, but that's not important. What is important is that they honor Chiyuki in the best way they can. ]

I'm...I'm glad you're alright, Hanyuu-san. It was nice to be able to stay with you and Watanuki-kun.

[oyashiromama]

...You too. I... Even though the morning wasn't peaceful..last night was one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had.

[A first for her, even with the somewhat heavy discussion topics that came up.]

[introspects]

Really?

[ She's surprised until she remembers that it's Hanyuu she's talking to, and it's Hanyuu who hasn't really experienced a proper sleepover. She remembers her first sleepover with Tatsuki and it was one of the best nights she'd ever had as a kid. ]

Then...we should do that again sometime! We can ask Watanuki-kun, and anyone else who wants to join in, too. I could even have it in my room this time!

[oyashiromama]

I'd like that, I'd really like that. [It made her feel so normal.] Thank you for including me.
