I have a dream that I want to fulfill with you...
[ Well, that was an extraordinary trial to have... it was certainly filled with many things that wouldn't be lost to the memory of most, even for weeks to come. Although, the return to "normalcy" could be something that wouldn't seem like it was wanted, it was better than the alternative to returning to anything at all.
With ease, Mikazuki find himself setting up the usual party in the usual place-- that would be the library of course. Notes have been slipped underneath the doors of others, or hung up on the walls to alert them of this post-trial "celebration" -- which was more like a get-together of some sorts now than a real party. ]
Please join us in the library again. Of course, food and drink will be provided.
- Mikazuki, Orihime, Hanyuu, & Estelle
[ The food and drink has been set out, what with there being tea, vichyssoise, cream puffs, and fish for everyone to enjoy. ]

[mnnnngh mikazuki how dare you call him out like this!!!!]
...I think they may already know, though. My adviser and tactician... Aversa. She's a horrible woman, just as twisted as I am and just as cruel.
[He almost sounds fond, and then his voice abruptly goes cold.]
She's a Grimleal. Not in name-only, like I am, but one of the devout. I had a dream that I removed her and was preparing for battle.
[...]
Even if I survive, I'll have to deal with the Grimleal.
[They certainly won't take kindly to their spy being kicked out of the castle.]

[ Mikazuki tries not to make a habit out of calling out people, but it just happens...!! ]
Well, anyway, I think they should just make do with how things are. I'm sure you're a capable leader in your own right, so there would probably be some sort of chaos if they tried to put you out or something like that.
[ There is the temptation to invite Gangrel to the citadel, but he knows that's impossible; still he just kind of purses his lips together. ]
no subject
Why do you think Plegia is structured like this? We don't rely on bloodlines or anything like that. The strongest becomes the next ruler. It makes it very easy for the Grimleal to remove any threats and find someone they can use for a little while longer.
[That's just the way things are. That's the way things have always been and he knew that even before he claimed the throne. It doesn't really bother him knowing that he's expendable.]
...You really don't need to be bothered on my behalf, though. I've done this for quite some time, so I know what I'm doing. I won't just let them kill me, you know.
no subject
[ If it was like that normally, then... it was fine, and with that he feels himself relax again. It was probably because he did say he wouldn't let them kill him. ]
I don't think I could quite imagine you dying, at any rate. I'm sure you have other things to do after you take care of Grim-eel too, right?
[ ... Say what you will about him, but Mikazuki had been probably looking to give that group some kind of make-fun nickname. ]
no subject
[HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT AN EEL IS, I'M SORRY]
To be perfectly honest with you, I don't know how I made it this far. I thought for sure I'd die before I hit thirty. Not through any fault of my own, of course, but simply because of the way Plegia and Ylisse are.
[when will those stupid ylisseans actually stop being peaceful, gods]
no subject
[ Eel is quite delicious, Gangrel. You're missing out. ]
How are Plegia and Ylisse, exactly, with each other? Is there some sort of history going on between them besides them being possible 'enemies'?
[ He's cued in on Ylisse being a country, and he notices Gangrel dislikes Ylisse, so this is his natural conclusion. ]
no subject
[BUT ANYWAY...]
The Ylisseans tried to eliminate all Plegians about... fifteen years ago or so, I believe. They started a war with the intention of destroying the Grimleal and it didn't matter whether they were fighting soldiers or unarmed civilians, they killed as many people as they could before public opinion in Ylisse got so bad that they finally ended their war.
[There's a hard edge to his voice even though he's still smirking.]
Since then they've been a nation of "peace", acting as if that war didn't happen. As if they didn't try to kill us all for religious differences. The Grimleal are terrible, don't get me wrong, but the Ylisseans act like they're so high and mighty when they were willing to slaughter women and children.
Every Plegian lost someone important to them during that "war". It's no surprise they all want revenge.
no subject
[ Does it fit well, he wonders... but really, he's committed those words to memory, and he supposed that no, it's no surprise that Gangrel's nation wants revenge. It's only natural, isn't it? Maybe he shouldn't think that, but he's not really the type to know love will always solve the day, even if that is his preferred route. ]
My, my, I think I believe I understand why you dislike those people. What they have done isn't right, and it is rather unfortunate that they do insist on being a nation of peace and not take responsibility for what they've done.
[ He doesn't bother asking if the Ylisseans tried to lend their aid to Plegia after they switched policies. He knows from history that nations typically don't do that!! ]
no subject
Precisely! They act as though peace is what everyone wants and that they're so above it all! We've been trying to bait them into war for years and they don't seem to care at all!
[IT'S SO FRUSTRATING. Why do they have to have a literal saint as their leader, why couldn't it be her dumber younger brother???]
no subject
...Hmm, well, I am going to guess that you've already tried sending a letter to their leader that would count as insulting and it didn't work?
[ Lord knows how Mikazuki remembers being in one enclosed place where one lord insulted another just by looking at the other wrong, and already it had been a bloodbath. ]
no subject
Of course I did! I wouldn't be surprised if the letter never reached her though, since she's surrounded by all sorts of guards who probably pamper her. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a nice, cushy throne she never leaves!
[. . .]
Though I think we might have kidnapped her? Which implies that the war already started...? I'm not sure. Those memory-dreams haven't been very clear about what's happening, exactly.
no subject
Yes, they are quite odd. At first, I wasn't quite sure what was going on in regards to the citadel I was at, but then I realized that only a short bit of time passed regarding the time I spent at the citadel before I was brought here. Well, at the very least I had a chance to fight the enemy before I came here, and so I had the chance to be of use to my Master.
So things are a bit more relatively simpler for me, I think. Unless we have another memory dream, where yours fills the blanks finally, but then something weird happens on my end.
no subject
Who is your master? What was your life like back there?
[He spends so much time complaining about his own world he never actually thought to ask about it before now...]
no subject
My Master is the Sage of the citadel. As you can expect, they are in charge of everything where I live and their word is law. My life was ... quite interesting.
You see, I'm part of the army of warriors that this "Sage" commands. They sends us out whenever they suspect that the enemy, the History Revisionists, are making their move in a certain era. Whoever is picked can be anyone, and when I wasn't fighting, I was enjoying the sight of the ten-thousand year old sakura tree as well as nice long naps, tea, and peaceful sights.
no subject
[He holds up a finger while he tries to sort this out. Most of it isn't a problem at all, but...]
"History Revisionists" and "certain eras"... Are you traveling through time to fight these people to... [this sounds supremely stupid] keep history the same or something?
no subject
[ So yeah, that is a thing. ]
no subject
[man can you imagine people traveling through time trying to change the past, how fucked up would that be]
...I won't mention it to anyone, then.
[. . .]
You didn't have to trust me with that.
[????????????]
no subject
[ He'll just smile anyway, feeling okay with it. Maybe he had been sure Gangrel wouldn't go around blabbing to other people. ]
But, you told me something important -- your secret and something else too. So I told you what was my secret, because I assume you just wouldn't tell everyone these things too.
no subject
[That makes sense! That he gets. Good, good, we're on the same page again!!]
Well then, it's appreciated.
no subject
[ Deep down, he's really concerned about getting close to people, but it seems that it was an inevitability at this point. He'll then begin to head towards the exit. ]
Now, I think I may be heading to get a good night's rest! So, I will see you soon, Gangrel.
[ .... he may be forgetting something. ]
no subject
[WAIT A DAMNED MOMENT]
Hey, give me back my Second Seal!
[DAMMIT MIKAZUKI DON'T TAKE HIS STUFF!!!!!]
no subject
Oh, hold out your hands, by the way.
[ Maybe he's thinking about tossing it right over. ]
no subject
[grumble grumble grumble, but he's got his hands out anyway, THROW IT AT HIM HE'S GOT THIS]
no subject
[ He makes it like he's gonna drop it, but he laughs again and then throws it just fine. His aim is surprisingly decent. ]
There we go!
no subject
You're such a pain. Next time try not to run off with my stuff!
[HUFF!!!]
