WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[ She's at least perceptive enough to notice something's off, but she doesn't know what. Did he like Alani, too...? ]

No... it's okay. Everyone was real tense. I'm not mad or anything. [ She shakes her head and smiles a tiny bit. ] You've been a great friend. It'd be impossible to be mad at you!

[firstaid]

Well, it's really nice that we did.

[She smiles as she sees Vanille swimming over as she continues to float on her back.]

It feels like all our fears and worries are just floating away.

Yeah, I think so too.

[ She treads water, and Estelle's absolutely right. Being able to do something that's not just milling around is nice. ]

Have you done much swimming, back home?

[quadruples]

...Are they gods of annihilation?

[ he's reminded of his conversation with gangrel the other day... ]

Well... some of them are. Some of them aren't bad--they help out a lot of people. But those who are bad... they're really bad.

[Judy lets Varric guide her into the right position until she's holding the bow the way she needs to, and the she pulls back on the string again as far as she can. Her arm shakes just a little from the strain, but otherwise she could let an arrow fly. Whether it would actually hit its mark is another story.]

I don't want any of the others to have to do it. Since I am an officer, I will if I have to. I never worked with forensics, but I know enough that it would be better than nothing.

[officerhops]

[She's not even sure she wants to know where the Wordsmith has been harvesting human blood, then. Though honestly, Judy would be more disturbed if it were- say- pig blood.]

Well, at least you can have full use of it. We haven't needed blood for any actual people yet, I guess...

[You know, since...they're always super dead upon discovery.]

Do they want to end the world?!

Some of 'em, yep.

Well, really, it was just the one who was actively trying to destroy the world... But we fought him, and won. Me, and all my friends.

[officerhops]

At this point, there isn't much I can't afford to buy, but I see what you mean.

[She nods to the punching bag that Guzma had been wailing on prior to their conversation.]

How's that helping you, by the way? I might want to try it myself.

[officerhops]

[That's admittedly muttered to herself while he explains, and the movement is easy enough to follow. When he comes up to her side...huh.]

...If it weren't for the fact that this was the easiest method, I would ask if you truly hate spear wielders. I imagine that potentially being cut in half would be a grisly way to go.

That said, she's getting up on the counter to sort of frog-crouch and look down at her ]

The fridge in the other room is because of me. This one... maybe he expects someone to need blood, late...r.

Oh, actually, that's a good point! We'd need fox or rabbit blood in here too, right?
