WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [Sunday had been a weird enough day, between the effects of gin and her memory regain--she was probably going to be avoiding the former for a little bit, at least. As tempting as it is. Lusamine already hates this week, and it's fucking Monday.

Well, her first stop is going to be the vending machine after all of that--hoping for something to calm her nerves a bit. Her haul this time is a bit...questionable, but it gives her an idea of how to deal with the stress. ...And some cute items, she'll be wearing those earmuffs because they're cute, at least.

Either way, most of her day is gonna be spent in the Dojo, having one of the mats propped up against the wall while she practices with the throwing knives. ...Well, attempt is the better word for it--Lusamine was never one for upper arm strength, and most of them don't even make it the full length of the throw. The ones that do may as well have landed on the floor, and while it's letting Lusamine release some pent up energy, it's making her frustrated as hell all the same.

The few times she comes out will be for meals--she'll be in the Dining Room with some of the items she won't be using from the machine. Mainly the green mascot suit, the nib pen, the pagan dance, and the feather pen. As much as she likes the boxed lunches from the machine, she's kind of just...picking at her food today. Distracted. And murmuring to herself.]

[ Well Killia really isn't the type to show his opponents mercy, so it's less that he takes the bait and more that this is how he just is. He'll go to follow up on the other man being off-balance, speeding up his attacks more. It's likely that he's going to get hit in exchange for this, but if it's 2 for 1 he really doesn't mind.]

Try putting a few in your mouth at once, you can combine flavors that way. [ Handing him some more, because sharing is caring. As for Killia it's doubtful what he tastes other than plain rainbow because what else would he taste when he's basically putting every flavor into his mouth at once.]

Gosh...well, I'm glad he's alright. He looks like he's happy to see you.

[Between the Pokemon and now this furry snake...well, it's not Zootopia, but Judy's feeling a little less outnumbered by humans.

Is this what predators feel like with prey animals?]

That almost seems too cruel, even for him. I guess he didn't want you to have something you could use as an advantage against him if you decided you wanted to.

[Or...an advantage against killing people, as the Wordsmith would probably think.]

He's okay otherwise, I guess?

Pff...thanks, Silver. Leeet me just pop over and take a look first, though.

[And look she does! Thankfully, since the Wordsmith had uniforms for her and Nick as well, it seems like there's a bathing suit that's Judy size, too. She's careful when she changes, stacking up her uniform together so she won't lose any piece of it.

When she returns she's changed into aforementioned suit, looking...very much like a rabbit in a one-piece, basically. She decides to walk over and take a seat at the edge of the pool to start with, letting her hind paws dangle in the water.]

Oh, it's actually not too chilly...not what I was expecting.

Fair enough!

[Judy turns the bow over and runs a paw down the length of it so she can feel the woodwork, then further back to the string. It's got all the makings of a recurve, just in tiny form for her needs.]

I don't suppose you'll teach me what I need to do to make an arrow fly?

[It LOOKS easy enough, but she knows from her work that something seeming easy and being easy is almost never the case.]

[This is probably one of the riskier things that Phi has attempted, unless you count any time ever that a bomb has been involved.

In the late afternoon, Phi returns to the site of Mercy's death, not even a day after it's done, because this is a very good shot at finding something that might be a hint to what's really going on here. And if there's anything that can begin to make up for accidentally dooming civilization, this might just be it.

Time to seek a way out.]

[ Oh no, that's cute...

Oh my. I suppose this is where I give my congratulations, isn't it? I will wish for you two to have everlasting happiness. I am sure you two make quite the wonderful pair, am I right?

We're the greatest couple. [ He can say this with confidence, even if he doesn't remember actually getting together yet; he's still missing everything after the Cup of China. ]

[ The joy is practically palpable in his voice. He could probably talk about Yuuri for hours if allowed to. ]

Hmm, that is quite tough to make sense of, especially when you have such a large gap between memories. I think this is the first time I have heard of someone regaining a memory and having it skip over one to get the next.

[ He'll tap his chin in thought for a bit; it really was a bit unfortunate. ]

Whatever the case, kidnapping his sister mustn't have been an easy feat.

[ Discussing kidnapping like this is very ironic... considering their circumstances... ]

[After the adventure at the vending machine, all Hanyuu wants to do is block everything out. At least, it's all she feels like doing. Naturally, though, as soon as she does-]

[Almost, almost, she ignores it. But...she can't ignore anyone's cries. That's not what it is to be a god. That's what she decided to do, isn't it? So, bag from the vending machine still slung over her shoulder, Hanyuu opens the door back up, haggard and tear-stained.]

A-aah... Orihime, I... What is it...that you need...?

[How guilty does she feel at this next thought? How much does all of this hurt? More than she could ever quantify, if how tight she's holding on to Estelle means anything.]

I-it's not good enough...! I-I c-can't- I can't save her! [Can't. Couldn't. Ouka, Rika, Alani, they're all swirled together.]

[She hiccups. And-]

Rika was killed. Sh- she keeps being killed.

Ah... I'm sorry to hear that. Is there a way for you to still prevent it?

[ He assumes it's the 'Earth implodes' future in question. ]

...yeah, you're probably right. I dunno, maybe he put in a super grim version where everyone dies. That seems like his style.

So anyway. Like. I was really disappointed with how they did the ending, because when the Beast turns back into a human his design is this really bad bargain bin romance novel lead instead of anything cool. So you end up just kind of wanting the big furry guy back. I mean, doesn't that kind of go against the intended message of the story, anyway?

[he figured that more people would be around the fourth floor today, to distract themselves from... well, all that. he watches Judy for a little while before speaking.]

[Well that was a morning.

... Gold's not really around until later in the day either; he's not avoiding anyone this time, because this is his third dead body (but this was bloodier than the second, and the second was horrifying in a way he can't get out of his head) and he'll have nightmares all over again, surely so, but he has places to be and things to do and

well, Aibo's only been here since yesterday, he's gotta get around too. Polibo's going to be with them too, of course, and the three will be found in different places!

First off, actually, is the mailroom; Gold's taking a few pieces of paper for himself, as well as a pen, but other than that... this is investigation time. There's probably not going to be anything in here, but he figures this might be his best chance to see if there's a way into Smitty's wherever or not.

Afterwards, they're much more free in the billiards room as always, eating lunch and playing 8ball! Aibo is as good as Gold is, though it probably helps to have those two tailhands of his. Polibo likes watching more.

One brief visit to the vending machine later and-- well, the items Gold gets are upsetting in different ways, but he's settled in the library to read both the interview he got and... a book that's very clearly not from the shelves; it's much too thin and child-like for that, but it's got a title anyone could recognize just from reading off Chiyuki's profile: Chavvot.

His two Pokémon aren't anywhere to be seen here. There's four... Chiyuki dolls, however, keeping him company, though one's set apart from the rest.]

[ The memory regain was bad enough, but Mercy's death on top of all of that makes for a Bad Time. Orihime is not going to be particularly sociable today, keeping to herself as she sits in a corner of the library with more yarn.

There's something made of blue, navy blue, and pink yarn for Judy Hopps on the table. Her current project is made of orange, yellow, and brown; she also has silver, blue, and black yarn that's not being used--these are for Jasper and Viktor, respectively.

At some point during the day, Orihime heads over to the profiles. Next to the eulogy Varric wrote for Chiyuki, Orihime tapes a bracelet made of purple, black, and white right beside it. She frowns at the sight of Chiyuki's picture, and can't help but look over at Mercy's as well. ]

[More like remind him about sleeping; it's not quite the chime of the bell yet, but Gold's joining him at the pool late at night anyway, Polibo and Aibo diving right in as if they were made for the water!

... Which Polibo was. But Aibo enjoys it too, so, yes. Hi Weavile!!! Gold'll just stick his feet in the water for now, kicking some at Silver.]

[It's not like Gold really actively looks for people -- minus Silver, of course, but that's just natural -- but he can tell that, after a certain point of the day, Hanyuu just... isn't around, and it takes him a bit to figure out which one's hers before he knocks on the door.]

Hey, Hanyuu? You in there? [... wait are these things soundproofed-- WHATEVER, HE'S DECIDED HIS ACTION AND THERE IT IS.] I got someone I wantcha to meet.

[introspects]

[ Her hunch was right. Hanyuu isn't...okay. Orihime's never seen her like this before, and despite herself, she's sure Hanyuu's dream must have been a lot worse. ]

I just wanted to see if you'd like some company.

[ She's learned that not everyone wants to talk, and maybe people just need a friend. That's what she's here for. ]

[...he wiggles his fingers in front of Mugetsu's face to see if he'll nibble a little, though. nothing wrong with small nibbles.]
