WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [...He really is such a sweet boy. There's a hesitance about her, for a moment, but...she nods. She's unable to bring herself to smile, but she looks interested at least.]

Your other...seems so nice, after all. [She'd only just met Polibo on Friday.]

Locks and their keys are made of the same metal, right? So if you find a lock that's gold like that, then you'll know.

[At least she's not so out of it that she doesn't realize Weavile's approaching her. No, as soon as he gets out of the pool, she starts to gently pet his head.]

But it's entirely possible.

Entirely possible, but...to anyone tempted by it, there's... It's very difficult to account for everything that could go wrong in trying to change the past. It's much more likely to make it worse.

...Are you worried about the motive?

[Weavile, although soaked, is going to try to settle in her lap to comfort her.]

[Varric was silent long after the motive was over. He wore his characteristic smile, but his hands were balled into fists at his side. If he had just a second more in the Fade, he could grab Hawke, pull her through. Maybe save the whole lot of them -- no need for any sort of sacrifice.]

[He thought about it -- considered the idea for a split second -- and then shook his head. Wordlessly, he left the room, retreating to his own dorm for the rest of the evening. He'll be noticeably absent from the meeting.]

[she's not scared really she's seen worse just WHOA THAT IS NOT WHAT SHE WAS EXPECTING]

[Usually Hanyuu's wrapped up in being a dignified god (or at least trying to be) but right now she's just too completely done with absolutely all of this to stop. She kicks the vending machine one more time and points to the syringe, which she'd just let roll on the floor.]

That- this thing...!

[officerhops]

I wish I could say he would just let it go as an accident, but he seems pretty eager to make someone responsible for it. And accident or not, if someone dies...it's probably enough to go along with rule 7.

[officerhops]

I was going to say. I'm sure having the advantage of distance would be preferable in almost every circumstance. That's a lot of the reason why people use guns nowadays, too. You don't have to get close to use one.

[She nods, her ears flopping forward a little as they walk up to the dojo.]

[The amount of force just barely manages to keep her on her feet; she stumbles noticeably, swearing. The force has shoved her back a good two feet. It's clear she's pleased, however, because as soon as she recovers, she's throwing a punch of her own, just to see how quickly he dodges it.]

I've been in here since...this morning.

[After. You know.]

But if you mean in general, pretty much since I started training at the Academy.

[officerhops]

[Judy tilts her head a little, glancing back up at Masquerain.]

You...catch them?

[introspects]

[ It's hard not to laugh a little at the way Viktor phrases that. Traitor, huh? She moves to take a bite out of the cake he brought for her, smiling a little more fondly at the picture now. ]

I see... Katsuki-san's stolen his heart, maybe? Kind of like how he stole yours.

[officerhops]

Swim is...probably a bit of an exaggeration, to be honest. One of our training regimens involved climbing walls of ice, and if you fell down, you'd go into the water.

...I went into the water enough times that I might as well have been swimming.

[introspects]

[ Orihime simply nods. (the one from the vending machine probably looks nicer) ]

I plan on making one for Angela-san as well.

...She dozed, it sounds like, and awoke...to try to fight off Kage- ...to fight off the creature.

[...a name?]

[Yeah uh.

Watanuki will absolutely go looking for Varric, after he notices that the smoldad did not go to the meeting that night. He is bringing food as a peace offering of sorts too, and he left Mugetsu behind in his room, just in case the talk turned serious.

...Yes, partly. It's a little more...personal, but...it's connected to the motive.

[...You know, she doesn't even care, she can dry this later. Come on over, Weavile.]

[She's glad for that! Good on you, Kimbley. As long as you don't mention everything you mentioned during the trial, Judy is entirely willing to pretend she never heard it.]

I wish I could tell you I knew how to get good use out of them. I mean, I know what they all do, but that's like expecting me to pick up an elephant for exercise. I'll just stick to the punching bags myself.

[That sure sounds like a name.]

The Wordsmith told me...it has had many names, but he didn't want to disclose them. However...I could give it a name. For...convenience's sake. [that's not all to it but-] I chose Kageshirou.
