WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. The game started at 12:00. Zero - the person running the game - had all three teams vote to execute one of the other teams. Anyone that got two votes... well, they were going to die.

Carlos, the leader of one of the other teams, sent a message through to the third team, who passed it on to us, to try to split the vote evenly.

But it didn't work. Carlos' team died.

[They're not exactly like yours, no! They're in a lot of bright colors: reds and purples and pinks. They're not in the shape of any particular flower, but they have a lot of ribbon petals and they definitely look cute!]

I'm sure you can. It might not be easy, but... There's nothing to do but keep moving forward.

[He says it, sure, and he even believes it, but for some reason, he can't bring himself to smile when he says it, even for Hanyuu.]

So...one of the teams had betrayed Carlos-san. Is that right?

What a cruel person you are, Silver. [ Siiigh. Why this. He's getting completely soaked. ]

[Bruce is in a bit of a mood. It seems like there's been decidedly less charm to him, though it's to be expected with the circumstances. Spotting the cards in the game room gets him to raise an eyebrow, however.]

Solitaire, huh? Guess we've got to pass the time somehow.

[ MAN, she's just building a collection of hairpins now! She's gonna go ahead and put them in her pants pocket so she doesn't lose them. Anything else in here? ]

[feistytrader]

I wouldn't say that. I just have a fond appreciation for winning.

[But they'll ease up on splashing a bit. Weavile is satisfied, anyway.]

[Don't forget to be careful with the pins! The hairpins themselves aren't complete, but as long as you handle them carefully they should be fine!

Despite your size and the difficulty, you won't let yourself stop trying. That's admirable...and that makes you strong.

How? How did you learn this and- h-how did you do this? Is it a power innate to you as a person, or was there a device to assist?

Victories are cheap when you gang up on someone like that.

No way. That's what Sneasel and Weavile are all about. They sneak around and coordinate attacks, then strike as a unit. And me and Weavile are definitely a unit.

[Isn't that right, buddy? Weavile's getting a little tired, though, so he goes to cling onto Silver's shoulder instead.]

If you want to bring a buddy next time, we're not gonna complain.

I thought it might be a trap.

Anyway, because of the rules we all fell asleep at 13:30. The next time we woke up it was 18:00.

Of course it's not my fault! Those aren't my uniforms! Do I look like a Dark Mage to you!?

Some people are just born with it, and I happened to be one of them.

It doesn't work that well unless I'm in danger, though. At first it was weird glimpses, memories and knowledge that didn't match... but I learned more quickly, partially because I had to.

[It takes some work to keep from crying at that. She can do nothing but lean against Orihime, eyes shut tight.]

All I can do is watch as her life falls apart around her, and take her to another when it does. I just- I just have to keep trying.

[introspects]

[ Oh.

She wasn't expecting that--she...frowns, sort of shocked that Phi had done that but she can't blame her. It was a trust exercise. ]

I don't know what a dark mage is supposed to look like, I've only seen red, blue, and green mages before.

[Unfazed by the yelling, because this is actually the level of loudness he's used to...]

How are you doing on that? How...are you holding up, Silver?

Yeah, no problem there. Just wish I could ask her about it.

[But he can't, because she's gone.]

I'm not makin' a bunch of them just because we've got an hour left, you know. We've got snacks back in our room.

[But he's very clearly going to be getting out stuff for more than the mouths they have to feed at the moment, and even his chiding's more friendly than it is real annoyance.]

He's not like any I've ever seen, that's for sure.
