WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [ He'll nod, and he doesn't mind answering this at all. Although it surprisingly hasn't come up too much. ]

I am indeed quite old. But, you see, I spent most of the time in the simple form of a blade. It's only recently that I've obtained a human form. That is how I survived for so long...

[ Viktor's already gotten a bunch of stuff from the machine today, but he found another coin in his room so he's heading back to see what kind of junk he'll get for a solo yolo.

Then he spots Watanuki on the floor with some sort of fuzzy thing and Viktor just... blinks in confusion at the sight. ]

What's that?

Yeah. I told her she could hold onto me if she had any trouble.

[And true to his word, he's careful to stay next to Lilligant, not quite holding onto her, but making sure his arms aren't too far that he can't help her if she needs it.]

[oh. oh that feels like it's important. that's something he definitely has to tell the others.

[brutal. well just for that he's keeping the peel and that's the healthiest part of all SO THERE.

[...I mean he means food in general, but they can totally do beef bowls.]

Maybe it's like how socks disappear in the dryer, except with plates and a dishwasher.

That's still really big. Most bugs don't even come close to being bigger than your hand in my world. Some are so small you need a microscope to get a good look at them.

Ah thank you, but, I have never thrown a fist "combo" before.

[ His left hand, as it was his non-dominant one would be the one used in the next punch he'll be throwing. It's ... probably expected that he doesn't hit as hard as he does with his right hand, as a result, but he did give it his all! ]

...so like, is the reason we can't go in the kitchen because it literally remakes itself every night.

Everything's pointin' to it, though.

[... And he kind of wants to believe that they can talk again, or something like that. There's no way to know what's going to work and until then it's pretty one-way but-- this isn't something Gold wants to give up.

[You know, she can respect that. In a number of ways it's the polar opposite of how Gems are taught the world works-- most Gems, even the likes of Jasper, are replaceable tools.

There's not a lot of room for individuality when you're a militarized caste system.]

You humans are a strange species.

It's a possiblity, but I don't know how the Wordsmith would manage something like that.

...I mean. Just be careful with the kitchen, given how weird it is. Maybe start out with the mail room?

Oh, we certainly are. You won't hear any arguments here!

[But it's sort of nice to talk about this with someone who isn't human. Not that he'd admit that, of course!]

Well, yeah. I guess you can breed 'em or something, but it's a lot easier to go out and catch 'em if you don't have the Pokemon you want already.

It's sufficiently advanced technology combined with Pokemon being really freakin' weird.

[ Now, Mikazuki wasn't exactly sure what he had been expecting, but somewhere in his mind, he doesn't quite think he would be expecting this. The man just stood there, blue and yellow colored eyes wide as he couldn't find a single word within him at the moment. Not like this.

He also was very aware of what kind of situation they were all in (dangerous, dire), and he very much was aware of what the reason for his existence had been. The other part of him, hidden away from others, warned him in vague whispers that he shouldn't be allowing himself to feel like this, to allow himself to get so close to others. In the end, he was to follow his Master's wishes, and regardless of the fact that he now has a human form too, he was a weapon. A tool to be used in battle, to combat anyone who dared to change history. No matter the kindness showed to him (by his master, by his friends), and no matter the indulgences he made. ]

[ ...But, he now had a human form, and with it, came a human heart-- and that is something he could not deny...unfortunately. Even if it was nice to experience what it was to be "human". Not to mention, regardless of Killia's intentions, his actions only reinforced the feelings he held that were not quite confusing but he often felt he would never exactly ever own up to. ]

Oh my, this is--Killia I had no idea you felt that way. Of course I accept. I just... I don't know what to say. No one has ever...

[ ... It is just a little unfortunate his mind has lept from one conclusion to another. But he'll be reaching out to take the bouquet nonetheless. ]

I agree, it is.

I wonder what that means, if there is some sort of... consciousness from those who have died.

It reminds me of some of Void's skills, but his shadows could never act on their own.
