WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [ He's positioned himself decently enough, but he hadn't quite counted on her going into overdrive. At least it's a glancing blow this time and not a direct one, and he's a mix between excited and annoyed at himself. It really had been too long since he had a proper fight, and he hates that he's slowed down even the tiniest bit (his skills being sealed not withstanding).

He'll follow her attack with a quick attack of his own, intent on going blow for blow with her.]

I already tried punching the wall once. [ Maybe it's a joke, but it's also the truth.]

[ He takes up the trident again from where he's left it, running through the paces with it again. The exercise helps him focus, and though his comments come more sporadic as he goes through his routine, they're more normal sounding.]

Too many people have died in the past few days already. I haven't ever doubted that anyone would kill, but this week that's more true than ever.

I can't doubt that at all. As much as I wish it wouldn't happen, the incentives are starting to become more enticing. Honestly, even I don't doubt that someone will die as a result. We all have regrets we wish to undo, especially with... this one that the Wordsmith gave us.

[She was definitely swayed by it. So many 'what ifs' in her mind if... if Belius wasn't killed.]

It's all the more reason I've chosen to find ways to protect myself. After all, I can't rely on others to protect me when they could very well be the ones that want me dead.

[Her words definitely sound shakey at that last part. Perhaps fear.]

[Blow to blow seems to be what she's been after all along.

If there's one way to keep your skills sharp, it's to be able to attempt to get an attack in and block at the same time, even if neither of them do manage to get in a sneak attack right now.

She's very clearly thrilled, so, hooray, maybe?]

Not really. The execution voting period was an hour and a half, and I remembered that after the first trial we had here.

Anyway, the door on the other side of the decontamination room would have led to the exit to the shelter if we could open it. So... we took the bomb there and set the timer.

Good, good... hmm, I'd say now, but unfortunately it doesn't seem I have a weapon yet. Unless one of the new things I got could be used as a weapon.

[ ... Luckily, Mikazuki isn't unreasonable, but he had smiled at the mention of the other man too. At the very least they're all keeping in shape. ]

[Her free arm wipes away a few stray tears, and she attempts a smile. ...It doesn't quite take, but she tried and no one can judge her.]

Let... Let me just...have a moment to wash my face, if that's alright?

G-Guzma...! It's your symbol, of course! This- this is yours? [...It looks more like it'd fit her actually but she starts to hand it out to him]

[ She'll just... unball her fist... ]

But okay, so you're confused at the new timelines.

[ Mikazuki's words are light, and not mocking at all -- it is like he is also affirming that it does and these feelings are something that can't just be discarded or thrown away in a simple manner. He was happy to know that Killia felt the way he did, and he did truly accept the blossoms still because he very much continued to want them. Once they were within his grasp, he was unable to keep from breathing in the scent of the bouquet. ]

These are beautiful. I will treasure them forever.

[ And she tries to take it off!! ... And it comes off easily, straightening out a she pulls it off ]

...Oh dear. Well, at the very least, someone is quite talented in making bitter tea.

[ he is not drinking that though he hates bitter things!! ]

But, I did bring some extra tea just in case we get through that.

He did not see this coming at all and doesn't react quickly enough to back away so he kind of just... flails as he's dragged into the water. ]

[ Mikazuki eyes soften at her distress. He's not heartless to say and insist too strongly that they need to go and nothing more; he's too soft-hearted. "Loss" in the life that is surely even ephemeral is not something to be easily dismissed...

He'll then reach out to place his hand gently on her shoulder, if she should allow it. ]

I was wondering if they might have a book on flowers. Or at least one that was easy to understand; it can provide for some nice reading material.

What do Dark Mages do? [ The name implies that they do dark magic, but he has no idea if the dark magic he's read about in books is an actual thing in other worlds. ]

Do they perform necromancy? Try to summon elder gods?

Hmm, yes, messing around with time itself isn't at all...

[ He'll smile a little at that, at the very least, seeming a tad bit pleased to hear it. ]
