WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [... They're something similar, huh. Gold's quiet for a moment, idly rubbing cue chalk onto the tip of his stick before he lines up another shot.]

Too bad there's murder every week, huh. Really kills the vacation vibe.

[A little joke, because Gold's not sure how to put the words into, well, words otherwise. He's no superstar like Viktor, he's not particularly beloved or anything like that by Johto as a whole, but they're the same in that they don't want people to think they're anything less than what they want to present themselves as: perfect, or at least without troubles. It's hard here, and Gold's been cracking ever so slightly under that pressure.]

[foundfate]

Well hopefully I wouldn't have to worry anyway. Nobody would want to murder someone like me, right?

[foundfate]

Huh. You know, I hadn't considered that. Can you breathe fire right now?

[Mugetsu opens his mouth, apparently trying to let out a tiny puff of flame, but nothing happens.]

I guess you're right. If he can't breathe fire, he probably can't transform either.

[quadruples]

A young prince is turned into a beast by an enchantress, and she turns everyone else in the castle into living furniture. The Beast is given a rose and in order to break the spell, he must learn to love another person and earn her love in return before the rose's last petal falls.

About ten years later Belle, who's a bookworm like in your book, goes to the Beast's castle after her father goes missing. She offers to take her father's place as his prisoner, and the beast accepts.

I've forgotten the details, but she befriends a talking clock and a candlestick, and she begins to grow close to the Beast. But there's a man in the village she's from, Gaston, who is determined to marry her. After he finds out that Belle is in love with the Beast, Gaston convinces the villagers that the Beast must be killed and leads them to the castle.

Gaston is killed in his fight with the Beast, and Belle confesses her love to him. The spell is broken, the Beast reverts to his human form and they live happily ever after.

[matchbreaker]

Probably about as bad as someone hit by lightning.

Oh yeah, Mugetsu.

[There's something he should probably ask him.]

Is it okay to touch your tail? ...I mean, I guess your whole body is kind of your tail, but...

[foundfate]

Aah, nothing important.

[His face is still buried in those papers though.]

What are you up to? Writing letters?

[matchbreaker]

[ Haha ] You know, I agree!

[ A beat ]

But I'm also an old vampire who doesn't give a hoot about justice or whatever laws humans set up.

[ So obviously, that's not great company to be in ]

I don't even have faith in me right now.

... I think it's good to talk today, when we don't know what will happen tomorrow.

[foundfate]

[Watanuki has managed to grab the fuzzy thing, and he looks a little exasperated as he speaks.]

This thing here, this is Mugetsu. And he has absolutely no sense of 'personal space', so watch out.

[foundfate]

[Mugetsu will stop poking at Weavile long enough to give a nod, but he will also wrap his tail around one of Silver's fingers (if Silver allows it) and squeeze it gently, as if to say 'don't be rough'.]

Why his tail specifically?

[quadruples]

He's adorable. What kind of creature is he? [ He nearly asks if it's a Pokémon, but as far as he knows Watanuki isn't a trainer, so. ]

[feistytrader]

[Silver doesn't mind at all! ...He wasn't planning on touching his tail in the first place, really, it's just that-]

A Ninetales can put a really bad curse on you if you touch any of its tails. This guy's a lot different, but he reminds me of one, so I just wanted to be sure.

[uncouthhatcher]

[... That is so weird from a Pokéworld perspective, because there's nothing that can't breed with a Ditto. Legendaries just don't do it too often/they do something else to lead on their legacy or whatever.]

Seriously? That's unfair, what the hell, you can't help who you fall for.

[matchbreaker]

Sure, if it's just some flight of fancy. But that's one of several reasons why a romance between a vampire and a human is always going to end in tragedy. It's just a life lesson that [ Karin ] Any young one needs to learn.

[ It's impossible!!!

... Okay finally back to trying to fix these bangs ]

A Ninetails? Is that a pokemon?

Honestly, he does have another form, and that form has nine tails.

[feistytrader]

Yeah. They're also my Pokémon.

[We're here in the kitchen!]

Could you set things up while I show her, Gold?

[Regardless of the answer, he's pulling out his Pokédex.]

He's a kudakitsune- a pipefox. They live in, well, pipes. Small pipes, like the ones you use to smoke.

[He actually mistook Mugetsu for a paintbrush at first.]

It'd be interestin' to meet them all! And for you to meet what I'm talkin' about too, I think they'd take a real shine to you.

[The Ghost-types especially, but he doesn't know that. Ninetales and Ghost-types.]

Hell, I could get my hands on an Egg for you if you want! Then it'll be super awesome when it hatches, 'cause that's my specialty.

[...Well, it's time to pull out the Pokédex.



Its nine beautiful tails are filled with a wondrous energy that could keep it alive for 1,000 years.]

[He'll hold it up for Watanuki first, then show Mugetsu.]

Your specialty is hatching eggs?

[Given that the two pokemon losers are going to probably bother Watanuki forever (or at least until they die), Watanuki has resigned himself to the fact that he will probably get dragged to their world at some point. Provided they all survive this 'game', that is. So getting a head-start on learning pokemon isn't a bad idea.]

[feistytrader]

...Maybe some sunglasses will come out of the machine.

[Either way, he looks a little apologetic. Elda really got it rough, didn't she?]

[Mugetsu shakes his head.]

It's, er, the general shape is right? But Mugetsu isn't really that fluffy, his fur is more sleek. And he has red markings all over him. And his claws, they're like a foot long.

[matchbreaker]

Actually, I got some of those today! I didn't know what those were until the other day so I asked Wordsmith.

[ She doesn't have them on because pool, but they are back in her room. ]
