WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

You bet! Every single one of 'em turns out to be stronger than your average Pokémon too, or so I've noticed.

[... They probably have like, mechanically speaking, one perfect IV in the priority stat attributed to their nature. So a Naughty nature's perfect IV is in their Attack.]

It's why I'm called the Hatcher back home! Silver's the Trader 'cause his specialty is tradin'. There's not a single thing that guy doesn't know about it!

[ She hadn't quite been expecting that, and that question makes her pencil veer a little. She ends up drawing a line through the mostly finished Chiyuki's lips. She'll have to erase that soon, but she grips her pencil all the harder. That's-

... She wouldn't have met James, then, that's the obvious answer. But more to the point, ]

...Then I'd have to grow up. [ She forces the words out like vomit. The idea of denying James Edwards-Marker from being a part of her life at this point, even in an insane hypothetical ] A couple who could only make their children suffer isn't worth much.

I've never... [seen a dead body? watched someone die? know death as a constant threat?] I've never not saved everybody. My whole life. In four weeks, I don't save ten people.

As long as it's nothing...terribly bad. [She just kind of. Can't handle thinking about anything else. Not today. She can't bring herself to ask, and she hates that.]

Nothing my partners and I can't handle, Hanyuu, I promise. Who knows? Maybe it's already solved.

[The dreams are memories, after all, and he's certain of it from how he and Silver's kept matching up.

Maybe it's solved and I've finally gotten Crys and Silver to slow down for a little bit, take some time off to hang out. There's a lot of things I wanna experience together after all.
