[The trial, as usual, was taxing. It's for different reasons every week, but what it all comes down to is there are fewer of them than there were, and that keeps on happening. The note comes, as it always does, earlier than last week, but still with some delay. There's a note slipped under everyone's door. ...One under Gold's door because of course Silver will be staying there, she knows.]

Please come to the dining room, if you would like not to be alone. There will be food, and there will be some cards and board games if you need a distraction.

[True to that, there are a variety of foods. It's nothing too fancy. Rice, grilled fish, eggs in various styles. ...No creampuffs this time, it seems Hanyuu thought that would be a little in poor taste. Also a bunch of fries? ...Really spicy fries, like incredibly so.

On a far table, board games brought from the games room have been left out, along with many decks of cards.]

Oh, yes. I've never been the biggest fan of it, considering my closeness with Pokemon...

I don't believe I'm familiar with a rice omelette, but what did he try to teach you? Did he give you the name of the dish?

I had stepped in on him making many things. Some soup - miso, I believe? - and flapjacks and all manner of things. His lesson was on grits.

[ She shakes her head ]

I could make you a rice omelette unless eggs offend your sensibilities too.

...I suppose that makes sense for him. He needed all of the food he could get to keep that...thing at bay. I'm not familiar with that food, however. A shame, but...

...And no, these eggs...weirdly enough, they don't inspire the same adverse reaction. I would be fine with that, if you're willing.

[It's not like you can usually eat Pokemon eggs anyway.]

Oh, I am! I'll make it for breakfast for you tomorrow!

[ . . . Ignore that while Elda does get up with the clock, she more often than not goes back to sleep so "breakfast" for her is more like noon. Or later. ]

Will you be able to wake up? I would be more than willing to accept something like that as brunch.

I ought to fix up your nails too, now I'm thinking of it.

[Lusamine laughs, at least. Vampires don't really have the same sort of...meal weirdness that humans do, from the sound of it. It's amusing enough, anyway.

When Elda brights her nails up, though, she pauses and looks to them. She hadn't really messed with them since Elda treated her, so there's still some on there. She could use another touch up...]

I'll gladly take you up on that. I had almost forgotten in the hubris...

Then we'll do that too! Probably tomorrow, though.

[ A sage nod. She had fun doing it last time, and so to touch them up again... ahhh, she smiles a little at the idea of it ]

Whatever works. If you have a specific time, I'll make sure to get out of the new floor to meet you.

[Elda seems happy, at least. Lusamine flares her nails out when Elda speaks up though, smirking a bit.]

I must admit, I did not think red would be my color...but I have been pleasantly surprised. They're truly lovely.

They are, they are! It's the impact of it on your skin which really makes the whole thing pop! [ And... maybe she should stop there, because going too deep into that might remind her of how her immaculate nails made her a target of a serial killer, and that's just criminal. wait

She reaches out to take hold of one of Lusamin's fingers, gently running it over with her own ]

Kind of you to think so. [Look, as long as you don't wanna cut off her hands and keep them as auxiliary girlfriends, it's all good. ...She does look a bit uncomfortable for all of a second, admittedly.

She'll allow Elda to take her finger, nodding.]

Just like clockwork. We've been getting them steadily since everything has happened, and I sincerely doubt he's out of ideas.

...I would honestly love a planetarium of some kind. Something that could possibly replicate what the night sky looks like.

[They haven't seen the outside in so long...she kind of misses it.]

Doesn't it just? [Lusamine sighs, dreamily.] They're always so beautiful to look at. Especially if you know of a nice quiet place, so the light pollution doesn't get in the way.

Mm, mmm! The stars, the moon, and everything else, like shooting stars you see sometimes! It's gorgeous! You could even say it' a birthright for vampires!

Beautiful, and picturesque...really, the Wordsmith depriving us of such a thing is a sin. An incredibly cruel sin.

I don't mind not seeing the sun. I can't do that anyway. [ She sighs ] but missing the stars is cruel.
