WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. [Even if she totally hogged the kitchen and it was an all day endeavor.]

[ Elda's face contorts. Her fears? This boy is asking her to give them voice, huh? Well, he read the damn secret. She doesn't even know what to make of it. Erasing Karin's memories of her family? Letting her live as a human? ]

... My granddaughter's an abnormal vampire. Somehow. Some way.

[ Most of her little finger experiment has dripped out onto the table, but with a sigh to brings up the tip to her mouth and-

[Estelle figured that it would taste ashy like that. It's of no offense to her.]

It was also a good practice cooking like this. Even at home, I worked hard and practiced my skills everyday.

[There doesn't appear to be any switches up here, no! There are a lot of books though, all organized by category and then alphabetized by author. Would you care to look through them?]

How about the crime novels. Where are the crime novels? You know, with the hardboiled detectives and dames and shit.]

[ And she grins again, zipping towards him to poke him in the stomach with a long lady fingernail ]

Guzma, you are endlessly entertaining.

Oh, um... I suppose a passion? When I was traveling with my friends, we had to cook, and I learned how to through that!

[And through diligence and hard work she managed to become a decent cook.]

Ah, that's right. Traveling humans would need to cook if they didn't have someone to force all that work on, wouldn't they.

[ She laughs ] I wonder if all those soldiers could cook, I never thought of that.

[The crime novels are actually up high - they're high enough to reach, thankfully, if you want to help Ariados check them out.]

[yeah, alright! LET'S START LOOKING THROUGH THE CRIME NOVELS. THE TWO OF US. of course, Ariados is looking for anything out of place on the spines, while Guzma is flipping through them.]

Would she want to live like a human?

[ Elda snaps.

In one movement she lunges forward, intending to grab him by the collar of whatever shirt he has on because in case her forgot ]

Not enough to forget her family! There's no way!

[They're all perfectly alphabetized so there isn't anything that immediately sticks out. Ariados probably won't find anything, but you will! If you're searching through the books individually, you'll eventually come across one that feels a little different...]

[feistytrader]

Maybe, maybe not.

[He doesn't react all that much to Elda grabbing him at this point. Maybe he really should, because there's no one here to protect him, and Mikazuki isn't about to bust in and save him again. At the same time, he doesn't.]

But no matter what happened, you know better than anyone how difficult it is being a vampire, right? It might be painful, but I don't think it's wrong trying to give someone you love a better opportunity than you.

[feistytrader]

[Weavile doesn't say anything and tilts his head a little, then shakes his head. He didn't say anything! He won't say anything, either.

Silver does come back after a while, though; he's got a strange combination of plain rice and, uh... a lot of ice cream, actually, and he stares at Watanuki expectantly.]

You're eating at least one of these.

[If he's not feeling too hot, the rice is gentle. If he's upset, the ice cream is delicious and good for the soul.]
