WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are gone from the group. Zagi and Kamui are dead, twenty-five of you are still alive, and the first week in the Vault comes to a close. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning, those klaxons are as annoying as ever but at the very least there aren't any bodies to be found. It can be assumed, perhaps, that you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; one of the previously closed-off section near the vending machine has opened up, revealing a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 25

[...He still doesn't know if it's the right thing to do right now, but he sets a hand on Bruce's shoulder.]

Things will be fine. Even dreams that mean something are muddled and out of context - they don't mean what you think at first.

[Try as he might Bruce can't quite stop the flinch that happens when he's touched, jerking away from it slightly. He does catch himself, though, and forces himself to stay still, flashing an apologetic look to Cherryblod.]

...I know. [He's had enough dreams and nightmares to know all that. He doesn't even know why his dream had been something like that - so detailed and... natural... - but it has a far bigger effect on him than he likes to admit.]

[cherryblooded]

[He lets go quickly enough, since it's obviously not comfortable for Bruce. Physical comfort is a no, at least right now.]

Is there anything I can do for you...?

[amygdalae]

No--I'm alright.

[Or so he says, even though he is anything but alright. Although its not as if that's anything new.

Taking another moment to calm himself, Bruce takes the bandages and places them where he had intended to place them before that happened, glancing back to Cherryblod after that with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.]

Apologies again. I didn't mean to worry you.

Nothing you need to apologize for.

[His wife's not here to do the worrying, so he'll pick up her slack.]

Sorry for bringing it up so suddenly.

[amygdalae]

No--it's alright.

[Cherrblod had perfectly valid reasons for asking, after all. It's just Bruce who didn't take it well.]

If you insist.

[Guess who doesn't believe him at all.]

Good luck with the infirmary.

[amygdalae]

...thanks.

[He knows that Cherryblod doesn't believe him, but honestly as long as the other doesn't attempt to pry too much Bruce won't do anything. His mind is just in a mess now--

--or well, more of a mess than it usually is.]

I'll leave you be.

[Though he doesn't leave quickly, so if Bruce wants to stop him, he's welcome to.]

[Sadly Bruce... isn't the kind of guy who'll do something like that so he just lets Cherryblod go off as such. Besides, he doesn't think he's really that all up for any lengthy conversations or just interacting with people in general.
