WEEK 2.
Two people are gone from the group. Zagi and Kamui are dead, twenty-five of you are still alive, and the first week in the Vault comes to a close. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning, those klaxons are as annoying as ever but at the very least there aren't any bodies to be found. It can be assumed, perhaps, that you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; one of the previously closed-off section near the vending machine has opened up, revealing a spiral staircase leading up to the next floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

It's not the best of ideas, because it opens me up for direct attacks and that can be damaging. But it can be done.
no subject
...are souls actual things where you come from?
[Sorry, but he really needs to clarify this.]
no subject
Of course they are! But it's all right if you're not sure if you have one, sweetheart. Humans are less in-tune with theirs, probably because you have physical bodies.
Our souls make up all of what monsters are, though. Our magic, our bodies, everything. I'm a bit different - my body is made of metal, so even if something happens to my soul, my body should be left as it was. But I was created with a soul - that's why I'm so special!
[...]
Well, one of the reasons, anyway!

Still, if he was made with an actual... living soul... that would explain quite a bit.]
Your magic is what gives a physical form, then? I mean, if you didn't have your current body.
[...despite everything though, he is genuinely curious.]

[Thank you for humoring this, good lord.]

I guess the binding process changed the construction of your body...? [A pause after that, as he realizes that Mettaton might not understand that.] I mean, your body is still metal... but I guess the properties changed after you bonded yourself to it.
[Sorry Mettaton, Bruce is just trying to science this out.]
no subject
Actually, yes! That's pretty much it. There are its downsides, of course, since that means I can die just like everyone else here, if my body is damaged enough...
[He hesitates for a moment at that; he's been very neatly lying his way through the entire group with regards to that, but Bruce...he suspects he won't get away with that with Bruce, and he isn't altogether sure he'd want to, either.]
...Don't try to repair me, if something like that happens and I die.
no subject
Bruce had suspected it, of course - or had an inkling - but he supposes this confirms it for him now. Out of all of them he had been wondering about Mettaton the most, considering how he was, but now...
It's strange, to think that even a robot could be as mortal as they rest of them.]
I understand. [He says, voice getting slightly quieter. It does suck, but he'll respect Mettaton's wishes.]
no subject
W-Well...I mean, you can. There's nothing stopping you from doing that! And I don't mind, if you have a reason for doing it. Or if you really want to, maybe.
But it's not going to be me, if that makes sense. It's not going to be anything, really, because monster souls don't linger once they die.
no subject
If you don't want me to, then I won't. [Sure, Mettaton may be a robot but he acts and certainly doesn't think like one. It's hard to think of him as a machine, really, when he's more alive than some of them here and its not hard to see the irony in that.] And besides, I don't think anyone here would want you to no longer be who you are right now.
